Let the royal celebrations roll! Prince George turns two

In celebration of Prince George's second birthday - we look at his most memorable moments.
Prince George and Prince William

It’s hard to believe it’s been two years since Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge (and his gorgeous chubby cheeks) entered the world on July 22nd – effectively ending the first #GreatKateWait until little Princess Charlotte came along.

Now the cheeky royal is entering the terrible twos – which we predict will be terribly cute.

So how does the future king celebrate his birthday? With a tea party of course!

The fourth-in-line to the throne is expected to have a rather normal birthday, with doting mum Duchess Catherine organising a low key tea with a handful of friends and loved ones at Anmer Hall in Norfolk. The guest of honour will be great-grandmother The Queen, or as George sweetly calls her – Nanny! While proud aunt Pippa and uncle James Middleton will also be heading along for the celebrations. Unfortunately Prince Harry will still be in Africa and Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla’s official tour of the West Country means they will catch up with the toddler later in the week.

It’s been a jam-packed two years for the blonde bub, who in his short time has become a big brother, a fashion icon, the world’s number one spirit animal thanks to his huge range of sweet faces, plus he travelled to Australia and New Zealand, discovered he isn’t too fond of polo (sorry Wills!) and made his very first Buckingham Palace balcony appearance. Phew! Not bad for your first few years.

So while Catherine is keeping it casual, we’ve decided to go all out and celebrate this royally awesome Prince!

The ridiculously cute royal Prince George is embarking on a huge milestone… turning two! Just like us – Kensignton Palace was SO excited that they released this adorable snap!

So it’s only fitting we look at his cutest moments. Brave yourselves, it’s about to get a thousand shades of sweet.

Last year, the Royal Family presented the world with the cutest Christmas gift of all – this official series of snaps featuring Prince George casually hanging out in the courtyard at Kensington Palace.

George might be fourth in-line to the throne but he is the front and centre as the Official Royal Cutie. “He’s a little bit of a rascal, I’ll put it that way,” Prince William told CNN in 2013 of his son, pictured at Buckingham Palace during Trooping the Colour ceremony.

He might be a rascal but George knows how to be the King of Cool. Can we take a moment to acknowledge those cheeks… Absolute heaven.

Practicing for when he becomes a big brother perhaps? George has definitely mastered the point and matching mum in the fashion department. Yep, this family love a touch of double navy and we can’t get enough of it either.

Cuddles galore! Little Georgie is a doting big brother who loves giving kisses for his darling sister, Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge.

“He’s got quite a strong grasp, so we were worried about [him meeting the bilby in Australia],” Catherine laughed. He seems quite chuffed with this toy one.

After William described his son as a “little monkey” we all assumed that George was the cheeky one… but alas he’s just like his dad! Palace staff revealed that Prince William and his son are two cheeky peas in a pod. Back in the day he was known as “Whirlwind Will” by his father, Prince Charles.

We definitely see the tot taking after his papa. Apparently prankster Wills would flush shoes down toilets, threaten to behead his friends in the Tower of London and had a habit of pressing palace panic buttons. Wonder if George will follow suit?

Prince George, future King of England, current King of the Sassy Face. Bow down!

From day dot, this kid has mastered the royal wave.

Crawling in the deep… Meet the real Curious George.

Dancing and grooving his way through life. He’s got the moves!

The cutie from Cambridge is always ready for adventure. Aunt Pippa has admitted: “It’s wonderful. He’s amazing. He’s a very, very dear boy. And he’s brought a lot of pleasure and fun for all of us, the whole family. He’s very characterful. He’s sort of brought us all together, and we love spending weekends with him. He’s very funny.”

“Come along, mother! We’ve got places that need to be explored!”

” Right, left, right!” Wills admitted that Prince George “never stops moving.”

According to Uncle Harry, George “looks like a young Winston Churchill.” While Wills sees himself and his younger brother. Either way, little George has mastered his best angles.

He may be the future King, but George is one with his emotions and he doesn’t mind having a good cry.

He’s always up for a hearty discussion with his Mama Bear. “Mum, I hear you but I don’t think we’re going to see eye to eye on this. I’m going to have to roll down the hill.”

“He’s got a good pair of lungs on him, that’s for sure,” William revealed shortly after his birth.

Prince George – making Catherine laugh since 2013.

“So Granny, I get you’re the Queen but I’m bored! Ahhh! Adults, am I right!?”

And the ULTIMATE Duke of Funny Faces.

He might be getting older, but he knows when to whip out a classic side eye.

“Greetings, commoner.”

A huge happy birthday to the adorable rascal who has captured our hearts!
