Nick Cummins may have produced the most frustrating finale in The Bachelor history when he double-dumped his final two, Sophie Tieman and Brittany Hockley.

But it seems the girls’ tears have well and truly dried, as NW hears Channel Ten are planning to cast them both as next season’s Bachelorettes.

Yep, you heard that right – both of them!

According to an insider, producers were “desperate to have Brooke [Blurton] as The Bachelorette“, casting both men and women to date the Perth beauty, 23, who identifies as bisexual.

“But now that [Brooke] is on Bachelor In Paradise, they’ve had to come up with a Plan B,” spills the source.

Enter Soph, 25, and Britt, 30!

“Instead of just one girl handing out the roses, they figured why not get both of them in the mansion and have a double Bachelorette,” reveals the spy.

“They’re already best friends – and have dated the same guy once before and were able to respect that and make it work. So it’s easy for them to do it again, this time with a whole batch of boys.”

Yep, after Ali Oetjen’s season was a major flop, the bigwigs over at Ten are excited to finally make the announcement.

“Producers needed a new trick to win back the ratings,” spills our spy. “And this is it.”

Sophie and Britt clearly have a close bond, with the 25-year-old blonde telling Now to Love that she felt no jealousy towards Britt when she thought he’d picked the brunette over her.

“I didn’t care that she was with Nick or whatever. At the time I was just so happy to have her company and I’d missed her a lot as I hadn’t been able to see her for a little while so we just hugged.”

Meanwhile, Britt couldn’t be more fond of Sophie: “I absolutely adore Sophie and I just think she’s such a beautiful soul. She was heartbroken and she was still happy for me that she thought I’d won,” she told Now to Love

“I just think that it was almost meant to be and people were supposed to see women supporting women.”

Here’s hoping the two ladies have the same non-competitive approach when faced with a bunch of their own Bachelors to choose from!
