Fans were treated to a glorious surprise when the Australian Survivor finale aired in September, as Network 10 revealed an All Star season would be dropping in early 2020.

“Early next year, we are turning Australian Survivor up a notch,” host Jonathan LaPaglia says of the new season. “The game’s biggest all-stars return, to go head-to-head in the ultimate battle.

“They might be the best of the best, but this time, we’re not going to make it easy.”

At the 10 Upfronts in Sydney, the network confirmed Australian Survivor will be airing TWICE in 2020, beginning with the All Stars season in early February. Not only that, they’ve also revealed 14 of the 24 contestants who will be returning to our screens in a bid to be named Sole Survivor.

Network 10’s Chief Content Officer Beverley McGarvey confirmed that “big players” from season one would be coming back, along with a few fan-favourites from season two, and two of the biggest “champions” from season three and season four.

David Genat (Champions V Contenders, Season 4)

Well, well, well, what do we have here? It’s David Genat! The international model and one of the best game players Australian Survivor has ever seen – despite being sent home with an immunity idol in his pocket.

“David from the most recent season is playing again,” Beverley revealed today. “Which is phenomenal given that he had about a three-minute break before he had to go back to Fiji!”

We can’t wait to have the Golden God back on our screens.

Mat Rogers

Nick Iadanza (Season 1)

He’s back! “Nick in particular, you may remember played this villainous character in season one,” Beverley says, adding they’re excited for the return of such big players.
