I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here is back and better than ever in 2022, as a new host of celebs duke it out for the title of King or Queen of the Jungle.

This year stars like Joey Essex and former Miss Universe Maria Thattil are going up against the likes of Olympic swimmer Emily Seebohm, and we can’t wait to see how that goes down.

From gross tucker trials, to gruelling challenges and even dealing with the other contestants, there’s a lot to endure on the show.

Who will make it to the finale? You’ll just have to watch and see.

And with the show now filming here in Australia, some contestants won’t be able to hack it in their own backyard.

Host Dr Chris Brown told TV WEEK: “Being in Australia has given us a really unique opportunity to test out celebrities in different ways and reminded us all as Aussies how hard our own bush really is.”

So who has what it takes to survive the jungle and make it out on top? Well, it’s certainly not these people.

Poh Ling Yeow

She was the heart and soul of camp, but Poh Ling Yeow was sent flying out of the jungle on Thursday night! She clearly loved her experience – despite the tucker trials – writing on Instagram: “I have such heartfelt gratitude for succumbing to this wild & whacky adventure. It was my 8th year being asked to be on the show, so the irony of time (also rubbish at fondling danger noodles) becoming my undoing was not lost on me!

“Everyone who says yes to this nutty shebang, will tell you the same thing over and over – that the best thing about it are the deep friendships made. And it’s no surprise because after all the gagging and testicle munching is said and done the premise of the show is very much about forming a madcap family – all our personalities are plonked together without us being able to choose and we have to navigate this, plus put our personal fears aside to make sure the fam is fed!

“It’s not quite over yet but I hope all of you keep watching the show for years to come because it’s one of the most lighthearted and positive examples of humility and people willing to give anything a red hot go whilst highlighting very worthy charities. Please visit mine @yalarimob to find out more about how you can help create generational change for Aboriginal children through education.”

Cal Wilson

Bye Cal! The jokester was sent packing when she was ejected from the jungle on Wednesday night, but she had a great sense of humour about her exit. ON Instagram she wrote: “That’s me out of the jungle and into the swamp. Truly one of the most bananas, amazing experiences of my life, and I’ve dressed up as a goose for money.

“From swearing I’d never ever do this show, to not wanting to leave it with every fibre of my being, it’s been a wild ride. I’ve made some beautiful friendships, and thank you for all your lovely messages, and if you’re a similar vintage to me, please do your bowel cancer test kit.”

She went on to shout out her charity, Bowel Cancer Australia, once again and share that her mother is in good health after being affected by the disease, but sadly a friend who had also been diagnosed had since passed. Cal added: “Bowel cancer can suck it.”

Tottie Goldsmith

Tottie was sent flying out of the jungle during finale week, but when she returned to the real world her focus was on her nominated charity above all else. Taking to Instagram after the episode aired, Tottie wrote: “My @imacelebrityau chosen charity is @strokefdn ⭐️ If you can give, even just a little, please do. Research, education and support are vital ⭐️

“As many of you know my ex husband Stevie had a debilitating stroke just over a year ago and I’ve seen up close the impact it has on not just his life but on family and friends.⭐️” Even after being booted, Tottie was championing her charity of choice – what a class act!

Derek Kickett

Derek was sent flying in his finals week ejection, but the lovable legend was still grinning as he left the jungle. Taking to Instagram after the episode aired he wrote: “What a great experience camping out and doing challenges along the way with a group of wonderful people with all different amazing personalities. 😊🤩

“Me being an introvert shy Country kid who was always racially abused and bullied growing up to do something that is so out of my comfort zone was a great experience, but mainly showcasing anything is possible.”

We’ll miss you Derek!

Maria Thattil

Miss Universe Australia was the second star ejected from the jungle and reflected on her time on the show on Instagram, writing: “A week before going into the Jungle, I journaled about ‘why’ I was going to do it. As a newer ‘celebrity,’ I hadn’t even been ‘Miss Australia’ for a year when the show came up. I knew it would be a hard, terrifying & extremely vulnerable way to be introduced to the nation properly – but that felt like the best way to just let Australia see who I am and what I champion.

“I wanted to entertain you, bring light, laughter and love into your homes and be a little spark for big conversations we are often too scared to broach. I wanted to be the person on TV I wished I could see, and walk away with friends that I love.

“Mission accomplished. And seeing the sombre energy in camp after going home (in particular my @davidsubritzky’s reaction) was a beautiful reminder of how real it was for us all in there. This was a hilarious end to one of the best experiences in my life.”

Beau Ryan

Beau shocked his campmates when he dramatically announced his plans to leave during a late night discussion, admitting he had been “struggling” for days and was feeling “broken”. The 36-year-old said: “My kids need their dad. My wife needs a husband, and I need to find myself back. I came in here to prove myself. I can’t gain anything else from this show. My journey here is over, and I love you guys.”

Chatting with hosts Dr Chris Brown and Julia Morris later, Beau opened up about his decision to leave the show and become the first star to utter those famous words (“I’m a celebrity, get me out of here!”) this season. He told them: “I go away a lot, I travel a lot… but I got dark not speaking to them [his kids]. I doubted a lot of things about myself.I doubted myself as a dad and parent.”

Beau has since returned to his family, sharing an adorable video on Instagram of the moment he was reunited with his kids.

Davina Rankin

Davina became the first celeb to be ejected from the jungle after what she called “an absolute whirlwind of an experience”. Taking to Instagram after she was booted from camp, the former Married At First Sight star said she had a feeling she would be the one going home that night.

“Going into that ejection I had this funny feeling in my tummy that it might be me going home..⁣. ⁣and I was SO at peace with that.,” she wrote. “⁣That experience was everything I could have asked for and more. I conquered a huge fear of mine, made incredible bonds and took myself completely out of my comfort zone away from my safety net of family and the comfort of my home.”

⁣⁣

She continued: “⁣Being a new mum it’s so easy to forget just how much fire you still have left. And I just love that I got to sit on our couch with my little girl and have her watch and cheer for me in awe. ⁣⁣The jungle was a gentle reminder that yes, I can indeed do hard things, I can push my limits and I am a lot stronger than I give myself credit for ✊🏽⁣”
