One woman who won’t let Frozen go is Kristy Taylor who recently admitted on Britain’s ITV that she spends most days dressed up as Elsa to keep her depression at bay.

On the chat show Kristy, 21, said the first time she heard of the animated film she was at university battling some mental demons and “locked in her room for a month” but as soon as she saw the trailer for Frozen she was “desperate to go see it.”

“When I saw the film it was incredible, the music and the characters, but for me it’s all about Elsa,” explained Kristy.

“She’s not a typical Disney princess. She was battling within herself.”

While it may be an unusual coping mechanism Kristy said it was more about timing.

“I feel the film came at just the right time. It inspired me. I saw Elsa battling her own demons like me and it gave me hope. I thought if she can do it I can do it.”

And just like any other Disney princess Kristy managed to meet her own Prince Charming in the form of her boyfriend Jake.

“I remember watching and thinking I need my own Kristoff in my life and then Jake came along,” said Kristy.

Jake is even sweet enough to dabble in his girlfriend’s hobby and don the Kristoff costume to accompany Kristy to the Frozen themed children’s parties she now runs.

Jake confessed he was a little embarrassed about the “horrendous” outfits he’s forced to rock but seems content to do anything to make his sweetheart happy.

He really is Prince Charming, no?
