Genetically blessed, career blessed, family blessed, geographically blessed and sweetest of all, romantically blessed. Their love story is the envy of many, and it’s not difficult to see why.

Chris, 38, and Elsa, 46, fell hard and fast for each other, tying the knot just three months after meeting back in 2010.

Since then they’ve supported each other’s careers and welcomed children India Rose, 10, and twin boys Tristan and Sasha, eight, as they build a life together in the beautiful beach-side town of Byron Bay in Northern NSW.

So do how do an up and coming Aussie Hollywood heartthrob and an incredibly beautiful Spanish actor and producer get together in the first place? It was a set-up.

Yep, talent agent, William Ward introduced the pair in 2010, and for Elsa it was the Thor actor’s voice that got her attention in the beginning.

In 2016, when Pataky was listed as one of Who’s Sexiest People, she spoke with the publication and confessed it was the sultry tones, of the laid-back Aussie that drew her in.

“His voice is amazing! Before I met him, I heard his voice on the phone and that was what I loved.

“He was probably making it even deeper,” she laughed.

From those initial phone conversations, the fall into a deep love was a fast one.

In an interview with Elle, Hemsworth claims it was simply a love that was meant to be.

The spontaneous pair make each other laugh, and credit that for keeing things interesting.

“There was no light-bulb moment,” he said. “From the first time we met, we just made sense.

“She’s fun. She’s outgoing, and she has a sense of humour and a passionate attitude toward life, which is nice to try to keep up with.”

As for marrying so quickly, that made sense for the spontaneous couple too.

Speaking during an appearance on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, Hemsworth explained: “It did happen quick and it just felt right, just, it made sense.

“There was no great plan to any of it to be honest, we were on holiday and we said ‘why don’t we get married too?’ and then the next minute…”

The pair were married shortly after Christmas in 2010 during a family holiday on the island of Sumba in Indonesia.

“Honestly, we had both our families on holiday at the same time, just randomly, and we said this is a good opportunity with everyone together so we just did it,” Hemsworth explained.

Raising a family together can sometimes introduce a little drama into a relationship, however for Hemsworth and Pataky, it brought them even closer together.

“All of a sudden I had a greater appreciation for my wife, she kind of came into her own when we had kids.”

The Snow White and the Huntsman star, Hemsworth fell even more in love with Pataky after she gave birth to their three kids.

He told Who, “Watching her be a mother made me fall even more in love with her. Once we had kids we were like, ‘We’re in it, this is it.'”

He continued, “All of a sudden I had a greater appreciation for my wife, she kind of came into her own when we had kids. She certainly keeps me sane. I complain about things, she gets on with it.”

Kids are the great leveller, and that’s something that Hemsworth has learned and appreciates about parenting with Pataky.

“It’s not about you anymore which is refreshing and my kids are hilarious and insane and crazy – it’s good,” he confessed.

“You go from press tours and work and then straight back into reality and you’re handed a child with a nappy.”

That doesn’t mean it’s all smooth sailing though. When it comes to parenting there’s one thing that the pair don’t agree on.

For laid back Hemsworth and his Spanish wife, a cultural difference means the pair take different approaches when it comes to disciplining their kids – daughter, India Rose and twin sons, Tristan and Sasha – while out and about.

“Everybody here, when they tell off their kids, they’re like (mimics whispering), but we are totally opposite,” explains Tidelands star, Pataky told a local publication.

“We are loud and sometimes Chris gets really embarrassed. He’s like, ‘Stop it, everyone’s looking at us’.”

“Love love love always and forever #youalwaysmakemelaugh love you,” Pataky shared on Instagram.

Former Home and Away star, Hemsworth credits his wife with ensuring he looks the part of the Hollywood star he has become while on the red carpet.

“[Elsa] gives me confidence and makes me look good,” he told Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of In the Heart of the Sea.

“She tells me how to dress. She gets me ready for the red carpet.”

As for Pataky, being married to one of the world’s most desirable men is no biggie.

“It’s funny when it’s your husband. For me, sexy is the inside of someone,” she said.

“Of course I think he’s beautiful and fit, but I will never tell him that because he will get too, how do you say, ‘cocky’?

“He’ll be like, ‘What do you think of that?’ And I’ll say, ‘Well, I’ve been the sexiest woman in Spain for a lot of years.’ It’s all just a joke, though.”

The spark will never die for Hemsworth, who told TV Week, “Each week I find something different, more I love about her. It continues to grow, which is a great thing.”

As well as being madly in love, the couple share a passion for ther careers in the entertainment industry.

The loved-up pair share their praise for each other, often and in the sweetest ways.

They regularly accompany one another to movie premieres and red carpets and in 2022, Chris produced Elsa’s Netflix blockbuster film Interceptor. He even helped her get into shape for her leading role.

“I wanted to have the same physique as strong women that I’ve seen, these US army girls they really prepare,” she told Now To Love, adding that Chris helped train her.

“They’ve been through this amazing military training, so I just wanted to portray kind of that attitude and that body and physicality.”

But one thing he couldn’t help her with was her accent, which has turned into a total mix of influences since moving to Australia.

“I can’t even believe it, I’ve started having that little way of talking that Australians have,” she laughs.

“[I] speak in English with an Australian accent sometimes or use Australian words… we are like little sponges in that wherever you leave, you start picking up all those things.”

Now that she and Chris are happily settled in Australia and loving every minute of it, we’re sure those Aussie influences are only going to get stronger.
