Aussie mum’s heartfelt plea to help find her phone containing only pictures of stillborn son

Her only memories of her stillborn son were on the phone, and now this Aussie mum needs our help to get it back.

Adelaide mum, Fiona Dillon, has put out a desperate plea on Facebook for help finding her lost mobile phone containing precious photographs of her stillborn baby son, Owen, and his funeral. In her own words, she would like the person who took the phone to “give me back something that I can never replace.”

Dillon says she left her iPhone 6 at her local supermarket when she was putting away her groceries on Tuesday night, and is now devastated a the lost irreplaceable memories of Owen.

Dillon, who is also mother to one-year-old Olive, posted on her Facebook page:

Please like and share – Help me get my phone back and recover precious, irreplaceable memories of Owen.

Hi everyone, as you may know, my iPhone 6 was stolen from Woolworths Seaford Meadows at approximately 6pm on Tuesday 19 May 2015. I put it down at the self-serve checkout and accidentally left it behind. When I realised after a few minutes what I had done, it had been taken.

In December our precious baby Owen was born sleeping, and this phone contains photos and memories that cannot be replaced. I don’t even care about the phone, I just want the photos back.

If you or someone you know has this phone, I urge you to please find it in your heart to come forward and return the phone anonymously to Jimmie’s Take Away at Seaford Meadows, no questions asked.

I would really appreciate your help in liking and sharing this status as widely as you can. My hope is that whoever has my phone can find it in their heart to give me back something that I can never replace.

Thank you

“I was just picking up a couple of things for dinner so I was in a bit of a rush,” Miss Dillon said. “I only realised I had left my phone at the self-service checkout when I got to the car and went straight back to the store but my phone wasn’t there.”

She has since said that the phone is locked and would be useless to the person who has it in their possession.

The post has now been shared over 68,000 times.

A spokesman for South Australia Police confirmed Ms Dillon had reported the theft and CCTV footage is being reviewed. Please share this post with everyone you know, and help this mum get back her precious memories of her darling boy.
