Alisha Aitken-Radburn has revealed the heartbreaking reason she nearly failed the psychological test required for contestants to undergo before appearing on Bachelor in Paradise.

During a raw Instagram Q&A, the Bachelor alum admitted mental health problems almost stopped her from heading to Fiji for her second stint on the spin-off show in 2020, where she met her now-fiancé Glenn Smith.

When asked for dating advice, Alisha candidly told her followers: “This one is so hard and I just really, really relate so much.

“Before I went on the Bachelor In Paradise that I met Glenn, I was deeply, deeply sad to the point that I almost didn’t pass the psych test.

“I was in this space where I was just going on mediocre dates they were just so unbelievably average and I think you’ve just got to put yourself out there and keep being vulnerable.”

Alisha went on to reveal that she had a planned “timeline” of when she wanted to meet The One, but encouraged her single followers not to give up on finding love.

“I wrote in my Bachelor publicity thing that I was going to get engaged at 26 and married at 28. Neither of those things happened.

“I still think this is happening pretty fast if I’m honest. I’ve got girlfriends who are deep into their 30s and they haven’t met their person but they will.”

The 29-year-old also revealed she and Glenn plan to start a family shortly after tying the knot.

“We’ve had very open discussions about our timelines. I think basically after the wedding it’s game on. The only thing that would change that would be if we do a big travel,” she revealed.

Alisha first shot to fame on Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins’ season of The Bachelor in 2018, before appearing on season two of Bachelor in Paradise, where she enjoyed a short-lived romance with Jules Bourne.

However, it wasn’t until her second stint in Fiji that she found love with Glenn, with the two getting engaged in October last year.
