The Bachelor’s Sarah insists she was never in love with Sam… while Heather raps on the Project

In the shocking first instalment of The Bachelor finale on Wednesday night, Sam Wood decided not to give the Melbournian a rose.

Before Sarah left the mansion forever, Sam took her aside to explain his decision.

“You are this beautiful, driven, intelligent woman and I know you’re destined for great love and great success. I have seen all the glimpses of your amazing qualities, but I just feel like I probably didn’t see those glimpses enough,” the personal trainer admitted.

“The last two weeks we’ve probably grown the most together, but I just feel that we probably didn’t grow as much as I would have hoped.”

Now the event manager can finally tell the nation how she feels, and it seems there was no love lost between the pair.

“I could definitely see us having a relationship in the outside world and I could see him just slot into my life so easily,” she told news.com.au.

“I never fell in love with Sam. I had strong, strong feelings for him but I wasn’t in love with him.”

Watching their tense final date, where Sam told Sarah she puts her guard up too much, it was clear their romance had reach its expiry date.

Well, this awkward. Sarah can’t see a future with Sam… the teacup is a COMPLETELY different story.

But it was there conversation that quashed any talk of love.

“All was going well, until he said, ‘I’ve got feelings for Lana and Snez,’ and this was on my date so I was trying to take that on board but at the same time I was trying to put a wall back up,” Sarah admitted.

The career-driven blonde tried to change the direction of their date but it was clear that Sam had made his choice.

“I went into this date with the intention of just letting everything go, just being myself, being honest and open with him so he could really see who I am because I knew it was the last time I was going to see him until the next rose ceremony.”

“And our whole conversation was basically about his frame of mind, and that he had feelings for the two other girls.”

In fact, constantly competing with the girls in the house for Sam’s affection nearly saw Sarah walk away from it all – in particularly when the rose ceremony where Sam handed intruder Rachel Moore, Nina Rolleston and herself a rose, rather than sending anyone home.

But she has no regrets and moments after the show ended, Sarah took to Instagram gushing about her experience on the reality show.

“To the end of this incredible chapter! What an experience the Bachelor ride has been!” she said.

“If anyone feels like doing something absolutely outrageous then 100% go for it! Whats the worst that could happen other than getting dumped on national television?”

Tonight’s the night where we find out who out of Lana and Snezana gets that one of a kind Zamel’s ring… And Sam Wood’s heart. But mainly the ring!

The single blonde can now hit the town with fellow Bachelorette, Heather Maltman.

After being the show’s frontrunner, Sam broke the aspiring actress’ heart after admitting he felt like she was just a “great friend.”

Since the airing of her elimination a week ago, Heather has been wining over the nation with her numerous interviews.

But it was her appearance on The Project that earned her a whole bunch of Bachie-approved roses.

Showing the nation that being put in the “friend zone” wouldn’t stop her and for no apparent reason, Heather launched into her rendition of Eminem’s The Real Slim Shady.

In the words of Heather: “It was awesome!”

With her quirky sense of humour in-check, the brunette laughed when host Pete Helliar asked whether she kept in contact with the other Bachelor contestants.

“I remain friends with all of the girls I share a boyfriend with,” she joked.

Despite the heartache, Heather couldn’t be happier for Sam, revealing she had no hard feelings for the “dude.”

While Sam is hours away from revealing his one true love, we’re campaigning for Heather to be the next Bachelorette.

And she’s open to the idea!

“I’m still getting over this experience and, if I haven’t found love by then, then it (The Bachelorette) might be something I’d look at. You never know what’s around the corner. Look at Sam Frost. After everything she went through she’s out there again,” she admitted to the Herald Sun.

To find out who wins Sam’s heart tune into The Bachelor Australia finale tonight at 7.30pm on Channel Ten. Meanwhile, the first The Bachelorette Australia featuring Sam Frost will premiere next week.
