Andrew and Jono have missed out on becoming the second set of twins to win House Rules.
The WA duo were eliminated from the competition following the charity apartment reno.
That leaves Queensland’s Aaron and Daniella and SA’s Kate and Harry to battle it out in the grand final.
Andrew and Jono are now living separately, and enjoying it. Jono is in the renovated house in Mandurah, while Andrew lives with his girlfriend Tess in Perth. Andrew tells TV WEEK he’s not too bothered about being away from his twin, after all that time filming House Rules.
“I think we’re pretty right when it comes to spending time apart,” he laughs. “Now, having spent six or seven months together, we’re probably not missing it too much!”
Jono’s happy to be on his own too. He’s taken advantage of Andrew’s absence to move out of the orange bedroom, decorated by Troy and Bec, and into the other one.
“I’ve got more freedom around the house. I’ve got the better bedroom as well!”
But Andrew is planning to visit the Mandurah house on a regular basis.
“I can just treat it as a bit of a holiday home, come and go as I please. We’ll still have lots of get-togethers there, I guess, because we’ve got the beer on tap. So it’ll be a good house to throw parties at now.”
Meanwhile, now that their stint on the show has finished, the twins have one renovating job left to do.
“We have plans to paint that orange bedroom!” Jono says.
