The Seven Network unveiled its content plans for 2019 earlier today, with a new food channel (7Food) four new local dramas and several reality series being added to the roster.
In the new year, the network will be airing a new drama series Between Two Worlds, from creator/writer Bevan Lee (Packed To The Rafters, A Place To Call Home).
The “high concept contemporary drama series” will introduce viewers to “two disparate and disconnected worlds, thrown together by death and sacrifice in one and the chance for new life in the other.”
Another drama series in the works is Secret Bridesmaids’ Business, a show about three friends whose lives are inextricably changed when one of them unwittingly invites a malevolent stranger in to their world.
Meanwhile, Ms Fisher’s Modern Murder Mysteries will be airing on the network, after the original stopped airing on ABC in 2015.
Geraldine Hakewill (Wanted), Joel Jackson (Deadline Gallipoli) and Catherine McClements (Wentworth) will star in the spin-off of the beloved series. Set in the 1960s in Melbourne, the series will follow Peregrine Fisher, who inherits a windfall when the famous aunt she never knew, the original Phryne Fisher, goes missing.

Also in the works is a new reality series from the creator of The Bachelor!
In each episode of The Proposal, 10 eligible daters will compete in four pageant style rounds to win the heart of a mystery suitor or suitress (whose identity is concealed). When the winner finally meets their suitor, it comes with a romantic proposal.
Yes, this series sounds absolutely WILD and we will be counting down the days until the premiere.
The Seven Year Switch is returning as The Super Switch, and will see the six couples now spending time together in two mansions.
Also airing on Channel Seven will be reality shows Wife Swap, Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip, Extreme Weddings, Inside ‘The G’ and Islands of America.
Crime fiends will be satisfied with the new series Australian Gangster, a two-part drama about Sydney’s world of crime. Plus, Seven is releasing a true-crime documentary series Undercurrent, which explores the disappearance of Bob Chappell, and the conviction of his partner Sue Neill-Fraser.
Returning to the network are shows including Seven News, Sunrise, The Morning Show, The Chase Australia, Home and Away, Better Homes and Gardens, The Good Doctor, My Kitchen Rules, House Rules, Interview with Andrew Denton, Sunday night, The Front Bar, Instant Hotel, First Dates, Australian Spartan, Zumbo’s Just Desserts and more.
