Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner’s relationship has been the talk of awards season, thanks to the actor’s very public declarations of love for his girlfriend of three years.
And insiders reveal things are so serious between the couple, they’re set to seal the deal with a wedding!
While he may not have put a ring on it just yet, sources close to the pair say a proposal is imminent.
Kylie and Timothée ‘basically married already’
“Kylie and Timothée are not officially engaged, but when they got back together it was on the understanding that he take her seriously as wife potential,” an insider tells Woman’s Day.
“She’s trying to raise two kids and wants a real commitment from him.”
Indeed, sources tell PageSix the blissfully happy couple, who have been living together in Los Angeles for more than a year, are “basically married already”.
“They’re definitely heading for the altar,” our insider confirms.
“He’s been working with Kris [Jenner, Kylie’s mum] on how to make his proposal unforgettable and the goal is for a winter wedding later this year.”
Proving their haters wrong
Though sceptics initially viewed the relationship as a PR stunt, the lovebirds have proved their detractors wrong.
After all, it’s not like the Marty Supreme star, 30, needs the publicity, his career going from strength to strength.
Already this year he’s won a Critics’ Choice Award, CFCA Award and a Golden Globe.
He’s also expected to be nominated for his third Academy Award later this month – already emerging as the favourite to win Best Actor.
“It’s true, Tim lost a lot of friends when he started dating ‘a Kardashian’, but over time they’ve shown they’re not fooling around,” our source notes.
Not only is Timothée a doting partner to Kylie, 28, but he’s also stepped up as a father figure to her children.
Kylie is a mum to Stormi, who turns eight on February 1, and Aire, who will be four on February 2, with ex-boyfriend Travis Scott.
Public declarations of love
The star made his feelings for Kylie crystal clear during a poignant shoutout as he accepted his Critics’ Choice Award on January 4.
“Lastly, I’ll just say thank you to my partner of three years – thank you for our foundation,” he gushed.
“I love you. I couldn’t do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
As the camera panned to a proud Kylie sitting in the audience, she mouthed back, “I love you.”
Barely a week later at the Golden Globes, Timothée again gave a nod to “my partner”.
He added, “I love you. Thank you so much.”
A source told PageSix that the actor is a “grounding force” for the Kylie Cosmetics founder.
She of course famously grew up in front of our eyes on her family’s reality TV show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
“After living and growing up really fast, being with someone like Timmy is a wholesome, welcoming stable relationship for Jenner,” they said.
The seal of approval from ‘dad’ Caitlyn
It’s not only Kris who’s onboard with the couple’s budding relationship.
Caitlyn Jenner – who Kylie and sister Kendall still refer to as ‘Dad’ – has revealed her happiness at seeing her daughter so happy.
Quizzed by the paparazzi at LAX this week, the 76-year-old said she just wants her “daughter to be happy, and she is, and I like that”.
She added that Timothée, who she called a “great kid” and a “phenomenal actor”, is “very good to Kylie”.
