The heir to the throne told reporters during a visit to an industrial estate in Bermondsey, south London, that he was “happy” when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge revealed they were expecting their second child.

Charles, who met with young entrepreneurs helped by his Prince’s Trust during his visit, was congratulated by well-wishes.

The Express reported that one man, Corey Johnson congratulated him on becoming a grandfather, but Charles happily replied: “I am already!

“But it’s wonderful to have another one. I’m happy I’m going to be a grandfather again. I’m looking forward to it – but I hope it will be a girl this time,” he was quoted in The Express.

The Duchess of Cambridge is reportedly still being attended to by doctors for acute morning sickness.

She is thought to be only about eight weeks pregnant, but the royal couple were forced to announce their exciting news on Monday after the Duchess pulled out of an official engagement due to feeling unwell.
