Duchess Catherine is pretty in purple as she visits ballet dancers at the Royal Opera House

We bet Princess Charlotte would have loved to be there too!

Hot off the heels of her community garden visit on Tuesday, Duchess Catherine has shown her creative side at her latest royal engagement at the Royal Opera House in London’s Covent Garden.

The Duchess of Cambridge, who is patron of the Victoria and Albert Museum which is famed for its textiles collection, visited the costume department to learn more about fabrics and the manufacturing industry. And as a keen lover of the visual arts such as photography and design, we bet she was in her element.

Dressed in a show-stopping magenta skirt suit, Duchess Catherine also had the opportunity to watch the ballet dancers rehearse ahead of their performance of The Two Pigeons , something Princess Charlotte no doubt would have loved as well.

Duchess Catherine is no stranger to the Royal Opera House, only in December she was spotted there on a festive mother-daughter outing to see a special viewing of the ballet The Nutcracker.

Back when she was pregnant with Prince Louis, the Duchess of Cambridge was also spotted out at an evening show of the same Christmas ballet.

And a love of dance runs in the family. In October, Prince William revealed that Prince George “loves” dancing and has taken after his late grandmother, Princess Diana.

Speaking to English National Ballet director Tamara Rojo last year, William said his mother loved dancing and was a fantastic dancer.

“We’ve been going through her music collection recently and there’s some quite eclectic stuff in there. She was elated by the skill.”

Queen Elizabeth has visited the ballet numerous times as well, though she seems like more of a voyeur rather than a performer.

Duchess Catherine also reminded us once again that she is the queen of recycled fashion.

Dressed in a bright purple two-piece suit by Oscar de la Renta, heels by Rupert Sanderson, and an Aspinal mock crocodile skin handbag, we were reminded of when she wore the same two-piece to the Guild of Health Writers Conference with Heads Together back in 2017.

A true style icon if ever we saw one!
