Whether it’s with his cake making skills or podcast anecdotes, comedian Hamish Blake is never not entertaining his fanbase – even if it’s at his own expense.
Now, the 40-year-old has sparked quite the reaction with his latest unintentional transformation – courtesy of a bee sting.
Hamish has shared a look at his allergic reaction after being stung by a bee.
(Image: Instagram)Taking to Instagram, Hamish covered one half of his face as he gave his fans an update.
“Hey guys. So like, I know there’s no shame around this or whatever, and everyone does it, but I went ahead and got my first injectable in my face,” he joked, before turning around to show his very inflamed eye.
“I just put the black pen around it so you can see, uh, the effect. I don’t know if I’m gonna get the other side done. I just wanted to test it out a little bit, a bit hesitant. So I think you can see a difference when you compare sides.”

(Image: Instagram)He continued with the bit, saying: “Sort of on the fence if I go again, the guy that did it was a bit ‘dodge’.”
“There was a few red flags. Like he was a bee, so I always think that’s like, you know, where did you go to school? Also he died, um, which is a bit unprofesh, I think.
“So yeah, on the fence, not sure; did get it for free so declaring that, hashtag got it for free. Um, I’ll keep you informed.”
The gag got plenty of attention from the former radio host’s fans and friends.

Rob Mills played along, penning “😮😮😮😮😮 #NOTTHEBEES,” while Lisa Wipfli wrote 🤣”🤣🤣🤣 I’m dying, like the bee. God are you ok Hame? 🐝”.
Australian Idol alum Ricki Lee was also equally tickled by the video, sharing some laugh emojis, and an amused Camilla Franks added: “You are f–king hilarious 😆 close to Wippas standards 😆🙏🤩.”
Every year, Hamish creates a cake for his children on their birthdays.

As always, the proud dad pulled out all the stops for what has come to be known as ‘cake night’, crafting a Trolls movie themed dessert for his little one’s special day.
“How is it another Cake Night tonight already. I’m accordance with Family Lore, tonight I must craft a cake for my 5 year old. It is a character from the Trolls Movie, don’t feel bad if you don’t know it, his name is Mr Dinkles and he’s basically a worm who’s in the movie slightly more than an extra,” he wrote on Instagram.

(Image: Instagram)The comedian continued: “However, he’s resonated with my daughter so that’s what she wants. He is also in a candy shop, his mouth can move (this will be tough) and can poop out a tiny cupcake (this also presents an engineering challenge).
“Look, I know it’s super abstract, but the adventure will be in my stories tonight and I’m sure I will discover the answer to these building challenges as I go (🥃).”
After many long hours (and a few sips of alcohol along the way), the cake master finished his creation (see above and judge for yourself).
