Heartbreak, scandals and dramatic ends: All the celebrities who called it quits in 2019

In late December 2019, it was revealed the Magic Mike star and the British singer had parted ways after dating for just over a year.

“Channing and Jessie broke up about a month ago,” a source told US Weekly. “They are still really close and still good friends.”

The pair were first linked in October 2018, months after Channing split from his ex-wife and mother of his child, Jenna Dewan.

Jenna has moved on with her own man, actor and singer Steve Kazee, and the couple are currently expecting their first child together.

Jimmy and Nadia Bartel

AFL and WAG fans were shook in August when the marriage of Jimmy and Nadia Bartel imploded. Within days of the split being made public, Jimmy’s was linked with UK-based Lauren Brand and he soon moved out of the family home he had shared with Nadia and their two young kids Henly, one, and Aston, three.

Matt Agnew and Chelsie McLeod

It was perhaps the quickest end to a Bachelor couple in history (except of course, the scandal that was season two’s Blake Garvey and Sam Frost #neverforget). Just over a month after the finale, Matt Agnew and Chelsie McLeod announced they were calling it quits. While the specific reason remains mysterious, Matt revealed, “Our relationship hasn’t translated from filming to the real, every day world.”

Matthew Zukowski and Cartier Surjan

Just one day after walking the ARIA Awards red carpet together in November, Love Island’s Cartier Surjan and Matthew Zukowski confirmed their break-up. Sharing a selfie of them at the event, Cartier wrote, “I’ve made the decision that Matthew and I are better off staying good friends rather than in a relationship. He’s a beautiful guy no doubt about it! Hope you all can respect my decision and support both of us in finding true love.”

Another Love Island couple who weren’t built to last were season one’s Millie Fuller and Mark O’Dare, who split in April 1 after eight months together. Because of the date they announced it was over, fans were convinced it was an April Fool’s Day prank. Alas, the split was real and the pair decided to move forward as just friends.

Following months of speculation, Bachelor in Paradise star Keira Maguire confirmed in August what many fans were thinking: that she and Jarrod Woodgate have called it a day. Responding to a fan on Instagram if she was “still with that guy from Bachelor in Paradise“, Keira simply responded “No we are not”. Well, that settles that then!

El Rowland and Lee Carseldine

Falling in love on Australian Survivor, El Rowland and Lee Carseldine battled the elements together in Samoa. But it seems the couple faced tougher challenges in the real world. Announcing their split in February, El revealed: ‘I have recently broken up with Lee and we are no longer a couple in any way shape or form.” She added: “I gave my all to Lee and tried my hardest to keep us together although it was super complicated.
