An international reality star was promised on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! this season, and the team at Ten have delivered!
The Only Way Is Essex‘s Joey Essex (yes, it’s his real name) who also starred on the UK’s I’m A Celeb back in 2013 is coming to the Aussie jungle and he’s ready for some love Down Under.
Joey is single and ready to mingle!
(Image: Ten)“I’m a single king looking for a single queen,” Joey said in the teaser that aired at the end of the season premiere.
“What am I gonna do for three weeks without a queen, you know what I mean?”
Whilst some Aussies don’t really know who he is, Joey’s already peaked some fans’ interests.
“Well he’s kinda cute,” one person wrote on Instagram.
“Some eye candy,” mused another.
Even Miss Universe contestant Maria Thattil mused in a trailer, “He’s a very attractive man.”
“He’s a very attractive man,” co-star Maria said of Joey.

He dated his TOWIE co-star Sam Faiers on and off from 2011 until 2014.
Joey even proposed to Sam back in 2012, which she accepted, but the two split during a holiday to Marbella.
The Essex boy also dated his I’m A Celebrity UK co-star Amy Willerton (a Miss Universe Great Britain might we add) but the relationship fizzled out.
“The attention after we left the show was really hard for me. While Joey had a strong management team behind him, I didn’t really have anybody in my corner,” Amy told the Daily Star at the time.
He’s even been linked to Voice coach Rita Ora but denied the claims saying, “We have known each other for years. She’s a nice girl but we’re just friends.”
Back in 2013, Joey starred on the UK’s version of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!.
