Prince Harry runs with homeless teens in London

The active Prince fits so much into his day!
Prince Harry goes on run to support charity for homeless youths

HRH Prince Harry went for a jog around the block to support local London group The Running Charity, a program geared at helping homeless youths.

Stepping out in the brisk weather with the recent graduates, the sporty Prince donned an all black ensemble topped off with the charity’s own tee.

His low key look, however, did not go unnoticed, as passers-by and motorists did double takes, with some people even stopping to take a cheeky photo!

After a vigorous warm up led by program officer Claude Umuhire, the Prince laughed along when challenged. “I did try to get him in the warm-up. We had a really hard warm-up. He kept giving me looks every time I said, ‘Five squats!’” Claude told reporters at the run.

The 2km run was a breeze for the 32-year-old royal, who is an advocate for the importance of sport in improving people’s lives.

The young Prince is also a patron of the Invictus Games, which is an international, multi-sport, Olympics style event where wounded, injured or sick veterans take part in a multitude of sports.

The memory of his late mother, iconic Princess Diana, was obviously fresh in the Prince’s mind when he recreated a photo taken of the Princess at the same charity. The touching moment brought a smile to the Prince’s face, who gladly posed for a snap on the stairs with the group.

The ginger Prince sure had a busy day, and after spending his afternoon pounding the pavement, he changed into his suit and ventured into the centre of London to visit the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

There to discuss the “mental health of our Armed Forces past and present” with the clinic, Prince Harry was able to talk about another cause that is close to his heart.

Earlier this week, Prince Harry paid an important visit to a recovery centre for servicemen, praising the organisation’s work as ground breaking.

“Getting back your mental as well as your physical fitness is a really important thing. One of the biggest struggles is accepting that there is a problem in the first place,” the former Army Captain explained.
