Christmas may be done and dusted, but the festivities have rolled into the new year with a belated look at the Monaco royal family’s official Christmas card for 2019.

Yes, we thought we’d feasted our eyes on all the official royal Christmas cards, but as luck would have it, there was one more to be revealed.

This year, the Palace sent two glorious pictures of Prince Albert, Princess Charlene and their five-year-old twins Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, but one of them isn’t exactly a fresh snap.

Royal fan account Gert’s Royals shared three images of the official Monaco royal Christmas card on Twitter, and it’s safe to say that the little prince and princess are growing up fast.

“May the peace and joy of the holidays be with you every day in the New Year! We wish you a Merry Christmas and a wonderful 2020,” the message read in French, English and Corsican.

But royal fans were quick to notice that the first picture, a drawn portrait of the family of four sitting in front of the Christmas tree, is the same one that was used last year.

Dressed in a chic, collared red dress, 41-year-old Princess Charlene stands out with Prince Jacques sitting on her lap and her husband Prince Albert smiling behind her, with little Princess Gabriella beside him.

But if you look even closer, you can see the family’s pet Chihuahua under the royal mum-of-two’s arm.

In 2018, the Zimbabwean-born Princess Charlene revealed that she’s teaching her children some words in Afrikaans and Zulu, including the Zulu phrase “thula wena”, which literally translates to “be silent”, and her two dogs are helping.

“They’re are getting a little bit like ‘thula wena’. I have two Chihuahuas … one’s named Thula and the other is Wena,” she told TimesLIVE.

However the second photo, featuring just the twins, was simply precious.

In the snap, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella sit in gilt armchairs beside their glittering Christmas tree, where stacks of perfectly wrapped presents are sitting underneath.

While Prince Jacques kept things relatively casual in a striped jumper and jeans with black shoes adorned with red laces, Princess Gabriella embraced the festive season with a red dress and red bow in her hair, her head in her hand as she poses for the camera.

December was most certainly a fun-filled month for the Monaco royal twins, who also celebrated their fifth birthday during the last month of the year.

PEOPLE reported that the twins invited their classmates from Montessori to a Smurf themed party at the Palace, complete with face painting and craft stations. And frankly, we wouldn’t have minded an invitation!

A video from the day was shared to Facebook, and it seems like the little prince and princess had a ball.

Royal fans last saw the family of four in an offical photograph in early December, when the Palace released a new portrait to commemorate the end of 2019.

While Albert and Charlene stand next to each other, their children stand in front, with the proud parents each holding one of the twins’ hands.

Profits from the portrait, snapped by photographer Eric Mathon, are being donated to humanitarian works.

We can’t wait to see the next snap of the adorable family!
