In news that will no doubt require a deep breath and plenty of comforting scones and jam, the royal Fab Four, AKA Prince William, Duchess Catherine, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan, will soon step out for their final appearance as royals together.

Indeed the aptly named foursome have thrilled royal watchers for years since Meghan officially joined the trio of royals back in 2018.

But in the wake of Harry and Meghan’s shock exit, which was announced in January and is set to formally come into play on March 31, the Fab Four as we know them are about to change forever.

But not before one final, joy-filled appearance.

Confirmed by the Palace on Monday evening, Harry and Meghan will join Kate and Wills for the annual Commonwealth Day service on Monday, March 9.

The foursome will join Queen Elizabeth for the event, as well as Prince Charles and Camilla.

The statement confirmed that the Queen and “other members of the royal family will meet people involved in the Service and walk by the Commonwealth Flag Bearers upon departure.”

The service will also include a special musical performance by songwriters Alexandra Burke and Craig David.

Sounds like it’ll be a spectacle to remember!

The annual service is always a stage for royal fanfare.

Over the past two years, we’ve seen Meghan and Harry join members of the royal family for the occasion.

In 2018, the pair walked in alongside William and Kate, who was pregnant at the time with Prince Louis.

In a sweet turn of events, 2019 marked the second year all four had stepped out at the event together, only this time, it was Meghan who was pregnant with Archie.

As for 2020’s appearance? Well, given the transition about to occur within the royal family as Harry and Meghan step back on March 31, we reckon this will be the most poignant year yet.

The theme of this year’s Commonwealth service will be ‘Delivering A Common Future: Connecting, Innovating, Transforming’, according to the Palace statement.

Emphasis will be placed on youth, the environment, trade, governance and ICT.

The Palace explained: “From working to protect the earth’s natural resources and preserving the planet for generations to come, to championing fair trade and empowering the youth of today to transform the communities of tomorrow, the Service will celebrate the Commonwealth’s continued commitment to delivering a peaceful, prosperous and more sustainable future for all.”
