King Charles, 73, has officially made his first speech as monarch.
In it, the royal reflected on his mother’s devoted life of service to her people, while marking his new era as sovereign.
As the 73-year-old honoured Queen Elizabeth II’s reign and spoke about what’s to come, royal observers were touched by the special extra details in the frame that honoured Her Majesty’s legacy.

Fans also spotted the vase with corgis in honour of the late monarch’s love of the animal, as well as the use of rosemary which is a symbol for remembrance.
Along with these poignant visuals, the King said many heartfelt words about his predecessor.
“I speak to you today with feelings of profound sorrow,” the 73-year-old said.

(Image: The British Royal Family)“Throughout her life, Her Majesty The Queen – my beloved Mother – was an inspiration and example to me and to all my family, and we owe her the most heartfelt debt any family can owe to their mother; for her love, affection, guidance, understanding and example.
“Queen Elizabeth was a life well lived; a promise with destiny kept and she is mourned most deeply in her passing. That promise of lifelong service I renew to you all today.”
King Charles III went on to speak about his new role, as well as the title changes that are now afforded to his wife Camilla, son and heir apparent William, and daughter-in-law Catherine.
He also paid mention to his second son, Prince Harry, and daughter-in-law Meghan Markle as they continue to distance themselves from the royal family.

(Image: Getty)“I want also to express my love for Harry and Meghan as they continue to build their lives overseas,” His Majesty said.
But, of course, the address ended with a tribute to The former Queen.
“To my darling Mama, as you begin your last great journey to join my dear late Papa, I want simply to say this: thank you,” he said.
“Thank you for your love and devotion to our family and to the family of nations you have served so diligently all these years. May “flights of Angels sing thee to thy rest”.”
