Everyone needs some down time to spend away from the hustle and bustle of the world – even the royals.

And in a surprise moment, an eagle-eyed royal fan has revealed that the Cambridge family, consisting of Duchess Catherine, Prince William and their three children George, Charlotte and Louis are enjoying a family reprieve in their country home Amner Hall in Norfolk this week.

The revelation came after the fan spotted a young Prince Louis out and about in the quiet location – and we can only imagine how serene that image would have been!

Taking to Twitter after the prime royal spotting, the fan wrote: “The Cambridges appear to be spending half-term at Amner as today I saw Prince Louis and Nanny enjoying the car museum at Sandringham”.

The user later added: “It was such a surprise. It was at the end of the museum times so I’m sure they had a lovely tome playing in the royal cars, toy cars and fire engines by themselves.”

The sighting has confirmed the young family have clearly been enjoying a quiet reprieve together in the English countryside.

The Exhibition and Transport Museum is situated at the Sandringham Estate and would no doubt have thrilled little Prince Louis, who we recently discovered has started walking!

In a series of never-before-seen snaps of the family released by the Cambridges, Louis was seen taking tentative steps towards the camera while being egged on by his dad – too cute!

The quiet week away from the hustle and bustle of London comes after it was announced young Princess Charlotte will be starting school in the British autumn.

In a statement, Kensington Palace announced the four-year-old would be joining her elder brother George to attend Thomas’s Battersea.

The school’s headmaster said in a statement: “We are delighted that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have decided that Princess Charlotte will join her elder brother, Prince George, at Thomas’s Battersea”.

“We greatly look forward to welcoming her and all of our new pupils to the school in September.”

It will be an exciting time for the Cambridge family, with two kids at school and young Louis running amok, this young family are growing up too fast!

Just last week, the family enjoyed some animated quality time together as they explored Kate’s newly revealed Chelsea Flower Show design.

As well as releasing the aforementioned pictures, an amazing candid video of the family was also revealed, and it was clear the children were having a rip roaring whale of a time.

In fact, in one clip, George is seen swinging on a a rope swing featured in the garden when he is asked by Wills what he’d rate the garden out of 10.

George enthusiastically replies: “Twenty!”

We’re sure there was plenty of outdoor fun for the kids to enjoy at their country home this week too!
