When new The Voice co-host Renee Bargh took over from Sonia Kruger this year, the former LA-based entertainment reporter made no secret out of the fact she had been secretly campaigning for the job.
“I’ve been begging for years,” Renee, 33, confessed upon the show’s 2020 return.
“I lived with Delta [Goodrem] when she started doing The Voice and we always were like, ‘Oh, this would be so amazing to do together.'”
And while the bubbly blonde was quick to convince the show’s producers and her best friend that she was the right woman for the job, it seems the star has had one clear reason all along… to be just like Delta!
In a bizarre twist, Renee has closely followed in 35-year-old Delta’s footsteps for years, sharing an eerily similar taste in clothes, men and friends!
The Sydneysider was recently spotted out grabbing coffee with Packed To The Rafters star Hugh Sheridan.
The new Voice co-host appears to be taking several pages out of best friend Delta Goodrem’s playbook!
(Image: Getty)Interestingly, both Hugh and Delta had the rumour mill in overdrive for years with countless reports suggesting they were dating in secret.
Despite the couple downplaying their affection, they were snapped out on dates and at one stage spotted kissing at an LA pool!
Days later, Renee appeared to be getting close to another of Delta’s exes, her Voice co-host Darren McMullen.
The pair had tongues wagging when they posted photos on social media of a cosy night in together at Darren’s Rose Bay home in Sydney, with the 38-year-old even preparing dinner for the beautiful blonde.
“Darren can cook!” Renee gushed on Instagram.
Delta, who prefers to remain tight-lipped about her love-life, has been seen on several occasions with Darren, with the pair spotted kissing at a Lady Gaga concert in Sydney in 2012.
The pair have been close for some time and even lived with each other in Los Angeles.

And it was only a couple of months later Renee appeared to be going after Nick’s older brother Joe, who would go on to sit alongside Delta on The Voice in 2018.
While Renee has a similar personality and taste in men to Delta, the ladies also share the same fashion sense, often appearing in matching outfits.

Renee had reportedly been staying at the same Sydney hotel as the American superstar while filming the talent show.
“Delta really thought Kelly was her bestie on set, says an insider.
“But when Renee joined the production it all changed.”
