As the lights on the Bachelor mansion turn on and the new crop of Bachelorettes prepare to meet the man of their dreams, Ten’s The Bachelor 2020 can now be revealed as Survivor‘s Locklan “Locky” Gilbert!
And while many fans are rejoicing that they get to see the hunky 30-year-old athlete on another TV show, there are two women who aren’t quite so happy he’s back.

Locky is about to become this year’s Bachelor.
(Image: Network Ten)Speaking exclusively to Woman’s Day, a source reveals Locky abruptly dumped his most recent girlfriend, Charlie Octavia, just days before he was swept into lockdown for filming last Sunday night.
“She was devastated! Getting dumped by any means is horrible, but finding out he’s The Bachelor… it was a big blow to her,” says the friend.
“She was absolutely smitten with him – they shared a really special bond… she thought he was The One.”

(Image: Instagram)Meanwhile, Survivor fans are blasting his decision to enter the dating show just days after his reality TV co-star Brooke Jowett seemed to imply the pair – who had a romantic connection on the All Stars season – were in a relationship.
Last week, Brooke tellingly said, “We haven’t completely written it [our relationship] off, it’s just very complicated with the distance.”
Brooke and Locky were called “husband and wife” on Survivor.

“I’m hurt and a little blindsided (excuse the pun) but I wish the best for Locky, I always will 💕 (Secretly I hope he stacks it and splits his pants on day one) Haha,” she wrote.
“I guess we had different things planned in our heads for what was to come over the next few months but you can’t be mad at someone for doing what they feel is best for them, even if it does sting a little.”
