Tim Robards has revealed he’s been training his wife Anna Heinrich ahead of her appearance on season three of SAS Australia.

Anna was announced as one of 17 new contestants taking part in the 2022 instalment of the hit military-style reality show.

Tim, who met Anna on The Bachelor back in 2013, took to Instagram to share details of the gruelling fitness training he’s put the lawyer through.

“Cats outa the bag! So proud of my girl for going ALL IN on this,” Tim, who shares one-year-old daughter Elle with Anna, wrote to his 224,000 Instagram followers.

“However she goes it’s been such an incredible journey even to this point.

“The training we’ve been able to do together, even with Elle in tow, has been an incredibly empowering and belief building journey for Anna by itself, and brought us even closer as a family in lockdown. Winning already.”

The avid fitness lover joked that he has enjoyed “ordering Anna around” during their workouts.

“But I won’t miss the blows to the head she’s been delivering in our boxing training,” he said.

“Whatever happens Daddy and Elle are extremely proud, slightly jealous, but also slightly relieved that it’s not us.”

The chiropractor hashtagged his post “mummy’s gotta work” and posted a posted a photo of the new lineup of celebrity recruits.

Dozens of the couple’s famous friends commended Anna for signing up to the gruelling show.

“Incredible woman!” singer and former SAS star Bonnie Anderson commented, while former Neighbours star Christie Hayes wrote: “Go Anna! (Not goanna) 🦎 You must be so proud!!!! Congratulations to you guys and hope everything goes well for the family!”

Anna will star on the upcoming season of SAS Australia with fellow Bachelor alumni Locky Gilbert, model Simone Holtznagel, Olympic swimmer Geoff Huegill, Real Housewives of Sydney star Melissa Tkautz, AFL commentator Wayne Caery and rugby league player Ellia Green.

Also taking on the course is former Home and Away star Orpheus Pledger, convicted cocaine dealer Richard Buttrose, boxers Michael Zerafa and Ebanie Bridges, Olympic diver Melissa Wu, comedian Paul Fenech, rugby star Millie Boyle, AFL legend Barry Hall and NRL player Darius Boyd.
