A former Bachelor, a convicted drug dealer and a model: The cast for the third season of SAS Australia is revealed
The third season of SAS Australia is packed with high-profile recruits.
Locky Gilbert
Locky Gilbert is a seasoned reality TV star, having appeared on two seasons of Survivor and starring as the leading man on The Bachelor in 2020.
The 32-year-old is an adventure junkie and regularly goes on hikes with his girlfriend Irena Srbinovska, so the intense fitness aspect of SAS Australia surely won't be too much of a challenge for him.
And after two stints on Survivor, Locky won't struggle with the military food rations on SAS Australia.
Anna Heinrich
The 34-year-old lawyer shot to fame on Australia's very first season of The Bachelor where she stole the heart of Tim Robards.
Tim took to Instagram to share that he has been training Anna to prepare the mother-of-one for the course.
"So proud of my girl for going ALL IN on this. The training we've been able to do together, even with Elle in tow, has been an incredibly empowering and belief building journey for Anna by itself, and brought us even closer as a family in lockdown," he wrote.
Simone Holtznagel
Simone is a well-known influencer who became a household name after her appearance on Australia's Next Top Model.
Melissa Tkautz
Melissa's foray into television was on the popular 90s Australian soap opera E Street, but she is perhaps better known for appearing on The Real Housewives of Sydney.
Ellia Green
Olympic gold medalist and rugby league player Ellia Green is sure to make easy work of the SAS Australia course.
The 28-year-old is as fit as they come and likely won't struggle in the physically demanding challenges.
They draw strength and determination from their mother who died in 2018 from cancer.
Geoff Huegill
The swimming great earned himself eight world record titles and an Olympic Silver and Bronze medal.
Bring on the water challenges for Geoff!
Orpheus Pledger
The former Home and Away star is bound to be put under an intense interrogation after he was arrested and charged for allegedly being caught with methamphetamine earlier this year.
Richard Buttrose
The convicted cocaine dealer and nephew of ABC chair Ita Buttrose will join SAS Australia's third season.
Ebanie Bridges
Australian boxer Ebanie Bridges has signed on for the third season.
The 35-year-old will no doubt be able to use her brute strength and mental resilience to conquer the course.
Melissa Wu
The Olympic diver will be able to take on any water or heights challenge she's tasked with on the third season of SAS Australia.
Michael Zerafa
The Australian boxer will be able to go toe-to-toe with the even the biggest recruits in SAS Australia's notorious fighting challenges.
But will the self-confessed "pretty boy" have what it takes to go all the way?
Paul Fenech
Paul Fenech is best known for the smash hit comedies Fat Pizza and Housos, so will surely bring some comedic relief to next year's season.
Millie Boyle
The Australian rugby union and rugby league star will no doubt rival the strength of SAS Australia's male recruits.
Barry Hall
The 44-year-old is an AFL legend after enjoying a decorated career at the St Kilda Football Club and the Sydney Swans.
Despite being one of the older recruits, his strength and stature will definitely be assets to the father-of-two on the course.
Riana Crehan
Riana is a motorsport reporter and won the 2005 Miss V8 Supercars competition.
The stunning blonde is used to pushing herself to her physical limits and regularly competes in marathons.
Darius Boyd
The father-of-one enjoyed a successful career on the footy field playing for the Brisbane Broncos from 2017 to 2019.
Wayne Carey
Wayne was an AFL star who turned to commentating for Channel 7 after retiring from the game.
The oldest contestant at 57 years old, Wayne will have to draw on his intense AFL training to get through the gruelling course.
