After five successful weeks in the experiment, Jules Robinson and Cam Merchant remain one of the strongest couples on Married At First Sight.
In tonight’s episode, where all the couples made their way to their husband’s hometown, Cam and Jules ‘moved in’ together in his home in Sydney.
Having already dropped the ‘L’ word, the pair ticked off another milestone tonight, with Cam telling his parents he thinks Jules is “the one.”
The couple met up with his parents in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, enjoying some drinks and a cheese platter that would blow Mick’s mind.
“I couldn’t honestly be happier in this moment,” Cam told the cameras. “Everything is magic.”
As Cam’s mum Margaret took her on a tour of the house – and showed off her shrine to his cricket career – he sat outside and had a heart-to-heart with his dad.
This is also the face I’d be making looking at my new man’s cricket shrine, Jules.
“We’re so happy it’s ridiculous,” Cam told his dad.
“But truly, you think this woman is the one?” he asked his son. “Are mum and I looking at our future daughter-in-law and perhaps the one that’s going to allow us to have the little pitter patter of feet around Dee Why?”
“The answer is actually yes,” Cam said. “Here’s a little thing. When I told her I loved her it’s because I just got clucky and I genuinely went ‘I can see Jules having little dreamers.’
“It’s a little bit scary but when I actually felt that, that’s when I told her,” he revealed.
We’re not crying, you are.
Cam tells his dad that Jules is “the one.”
Cam and Jules previously spoke to TV WEEK about their desire to have children… one day.
“Cam’s mum gets a bit shocked and overwhelmed with the press,” Jules adds. “She constantly calls and asks, ‘Is this true?’ We’re like, ‘No! If we have a baby, you’ll be the first to know!'”
“She was devastated she wasn’t the first to know,” Cam says with a laugh.
Rumours aside, Jules says she’d like to start “seriously talking” about it next year, while Cam thinks his partner will be an “incredible mother”.
