When Lisa appeared on the show in 2017, she confessed that she couldn’t marry her partner Mark Tabone because she was still married to Grant Kenny. But now, in 2021, she has been happily married for a second. So maybe, she would return, in a world first, with her hubby? It would be an interesting twist.

Stephanie Rice

She has three gold medals and received the Medal of the Order of Australia, so the jungle should be a walk in the park for this athlete, who has reached legendary status at just 33. However, in the past, the swimmer turned down offers from the show citing on her Instagram, “I was asked and had to reconfirm four times that I DID NOT want to go on the show as it’s not for me at this stage.”

But she made this statement in 2015, so, six years later, she may finally be ready!

Shane Gould

Shane famously appeared on Survivor in 2018 after disappearing from public life at the height of her career.

The low-key icon, who is always followed by an air of mystery, would be an interesting addition to the jungle. But, as the oldest person to win Survivor, we think she could be the one to beat.

Kyle Chalmers

Kyle holds a lot of records in the pool, but the 23-year-old has yet to venture fully into reality, television, although he did star in the documentary Head Above Water.

If his Instagram, which is filled with a mixture of serious and goofy shots, is anything to go by, then his personality will light up our screens.

Bella Varelis

Although her time on The Bachelor left her heartbroken, it hasn’t stopped Bella from considering a second stint on reality television.

The influencer revealed to TV WEEK that she would be interested in appearing on I’m a Celeb.

“There are a couple of things in the works, so yeah,” she teased.

Archie Thompson

Archie may have had his Celebrity MasterChef journey cut short, but his time on the show has inspired him to dip his toes into more reality television, and he has his eye on I’m A Celeb.

In an exclusive interview with TV Week, Archie shared why he would love to battle the jungle to face his biggest fear.

“100 per cent I would love it,” he said. “I would love to do maybe Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

“I have seen little snippets, and I hate spiders man, daddy longlegs scare the sh*t out of me, so that could be cool.”

Robert Irwin

The youngest Irwin had a guest stint on the hit show, but we think he needs to take on the challenge full time because we can’t get enough of his close relationship with creepy crawlies. We want to see more of him guiding the other contestants through their arachnophobia and sharing epic animal facts that will send Twitter ablaze.

During his original appearance, he arrived in South Africa with his sister Bindi and mum Terri.

Bindi told News Corp, “We are just thrilled that this show takes people from all walks of life into the middle of nowhere in South Africa and gives them a crash course in wildlife and conservation and being amongst nature, and it is something that we all tend to miss in life.

“This is great to be a part of, and we were thrilled to be a part of this to share our passion for wildlife and just say G’Day to everyone.”

Jett Kenny

Jett is an Ironman, model and the son of athletes, he has waltzed on Dancing With The Stars and battled it out on SAS Australia, so it seems only fitting he would step into the jungle to put his athleticism to the test.

Plus, Jett’s leading man face could be the solution to our post-2021 blues after a challenging year.

Osher Günsberg

We know him as one of Australia’s most charming and heartwarming reality television show hosts, but don’t you think it’s time he was a contestant?

It may give the 47-year-old a new perspective on the experience, as he transitions from running the show to being caught in its spiderwebs.

Zac Efron

The Hollywood heartthrob has a long relationship with Australia as he has spent considerable time in Byron Bay and even dated an Aussie from there.

So, it would be fitting if Julia received her wish to have the 34-year-old on the show. “Well, I have been telling everyone that Zac Efron is going into the jungle. We filmed right in his hood,” she exclusively revealed to TV Week.

Penny McNamee

She stole Australia’s hearts on Home and Away, but now she isn’t held by the soapie’s intense shooting schedule; this would be the perfect opportunity for Penny to grace our screens once more. Her sweet personality, charming generosity, and musical skills would make her the perfect jungle mum to support the other contestants.

Madonna and Sean Penn

These exes got divorced in 1989, and even though their marriage didn’t work, they must have had some essential things in common to tie the knot. One thing Julia thinks they would have in common is a love for the jungle.

It would be a massive pull if the show landed these A-listers, but the funny host thinks it would be perfect.

“I also think Madonna would enjoy it, which leads me to Sean Penn. Sean Penn cooking beans and rice; what more do you want?” she said.
