Cael O’Donnell, 26, from Mildura, Vic, shares his inspiring story.

Answering my phone I heard the sound of my aunty sobbing.

“Your mum’s gone,” she began.

The news that my mother had passed away in her sleep, aged 44, had upset the whole family, but it had not entirely surprised me.

Two years before, when I was 16, I’d learned through ‘claircognizance’ – the ability to acquire psychic knowledge without knowing how or why – that this would happen.

I hadn’t said anything to my mum, but I’d made every effort to spend time together just enjoying the simple things as often as we could.

Part of me felt Mum had some sort of psychic abilities and that she also knew her time was coming to an end.

After losing her, I was determined to help others.

Growing up, life had been challenging and I felt I had a wealth of life lessons to draw from, so I went on to work as a therapist in a mental health ward.

But over time, I couldn’t ignore my gift as a psychic medium – on many occasions, my mother would talk to me from the spirit world and give guidance.

“You need to improve your diet,” she said once.

I always followed her advice.

Eventually, I realised a psychic medium was my true calling.

Using the video sharing app, TikTok, I spread the word, and I was soon getting requests for readings from around the world.

One day, a mother and her adult daughter came to see me.

They didn’t give me any information, but I could see a 13-year-old boy crossing the road.

“That’s my son,” the woman’s daughter said, explaining how he’d died after he was hit by a car.

I could hear his voice.

“He’s telling me, ‘Don’t let Dad play with my X-box’,” I told them.

The message brought them so much happiness.

“That’s just what he would say!” the boy’s mum laughed.

Another time, a female police officer came to see me.

When I said I could sense her sister, she looked at me cynically.

“I don’t have a sister,” she replied, before her face lit up remembering that she used to refer to her horse as her sister before she died.

It turned out she missed the horse terribly and was hoping to connect.

It’s moments like these that make my work so valuable, though I’m now so popular that I have a two-year waiting list.

While it’s great to have this success, I really wish I could help more people.

So I’ve written a book, Three Minutes with Spirit, for anyone seeking a deeper connection with their inner self and the universe around them.

It’s been a hard few years for many of us but there’s plenty to hope for and I’m thrilled to share my following tips with Take 5 readers…

GRIEVANCES

Spend three minutes reflecting on your latest grievance. What has it brought up for you? How has it changed your life’s direction? Can you see the bigger picture?

LOVED ONES

Think of your loved ones. Write down things they have taught you in your life. Thank the universe for bringing them into your life and, if you’re willing, ask Spirit to use you more readily, not only to support them, but also in the lives of those you don’t know.

SIGNS

Take three minutes to ask Spirit if there are any signs that are evident in your life. If you do this while closing your eyes, you might notice imagery in your mind. Look at these visions from Spirit and realise they are being employed for a specific reason. Allow them to show you what these signs are for. If you can meet them with an open and curious heart, they will willingly assist!
