Melania Trump on Donald’s vulgar tape: ‘My husband was egged on to say bad things’

I know how some men talk and that's how I saw it, yes.

Melania Trump has used a recent interview to defend her husband Donald Trump and say that the GOP candidate was ‘egged on’ by Billy Bush into making those revolting sexist remarks on a tape which leaked almost a fortnight ago.

Ms Trump was doing a sit-down with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, Monday night, when the numerous allegations of sexual misconduct against her husband were brought up.

Melania, 46, blamed the left wing media for vilifying husband and dismissed his comments as ‘boy talk’.

“I know how some men talk, and that’s how I saw it,” Melania said. She even joked: “Sometimes I say I have two boys at home, I have my young son and I have my husband.”

While sitting in the couple’s lavish Trump Tower apartment in Manhattan Melania said she’s no victim when it came to the political games.

“I’m very strong. And people, they don’t really know me. People think I talk about me like, ‘Oh Melania. Oh poor Melania.’ Don’t feel sorry for me. I can handle everything.”

The mother of one also said she and her husband were closer than ever.

“We always have a great marriage and strong relationship and he said many times, that I’m the rock for the whole family,” Melania told Cooper. “And yes, we are very strong, we are two independent people thinking on their own, and have a very open conversation, and I think that’s very healthy for the relationship.”

The former model also had a message for those opposing her husband’s political campaign. “I see in the press a lot almost like celebrities or people who think they’re celebrity. I would suggest to them at look at themselves in the mirror and to look at their actions and to take care of their own families,” she said.

Melania’s media offensive comes after The Washington Post released a video from 2005 where Donald, then 59, appeared to make lewd comments about sexually molesting women to then Access Hollywood host, Billy Bush.

The wife of the GOP candidate also called any woman who has come forward accusing him of doing such things liars.

“I believe my husband, I believe my husband — it was all organised from the opposition,” Ms. Trump said. “They can never check the background of these women. They don’t have any facts.”
