It’s controversial, it’s loud, it’s unapologetic – the 60th Annual Grammy Awards red carpet is here and it’s showing us the very best and the very worst of the music industry’s wardrobes.

Some singing celebs hit the high-style notes (see all the best dresses here!), however some stars fell very, very flat opting for outrageous over opulence all in the name of making a fashion statement.

From Joy Villa’s confronting “pro life” wedding gown, to Jenny McCarthy’s bubble-gum blue bob, we list the most outrageous looks on the 60th Annual Grammy Awards red carpet.

Joy Villa

Donning a white wedding dress that she hand-painted with the image of a fetus surrounded by a rainbow, singer Villa Joy made her “pro life” statement known on the 60th Annual Grammy Awards red carpet.

“I’m a pro-life woman. This year I chose to make a statement on the red carpet like I always do,” she told Fox News at the event. “I’m all about life.”

Totting a purse to match, the 26-yea-old singer says her outfit was inspired by her own abortion at age 21. She now supports adoption over abortion.

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga had her own powerful political statement to make; the superstar singer and a number of celebrities donned white roses on the red carpet in a show of support of the Time’s Up movement.

While the Golden Globes red carpet was transformed into a sea of black gowns, music executives Meg Harkins and of Roc Nation and Karen Rait of Interscope Records came up with the idea of the white rose which, according to Billboard, is symbolic of the suffragettes who wore white while protesting and Hilary Clinton, who wore white when President Trump was inaugurated.

Jenny McCarthy

Actress Jenny McCarthy is completely unrecognisable in a cartoon-like blue wig on the 60th Annual Grammy Awards awards red carpet. She poses with actor Donnie Wahlberg.

Tyler The Creator

Prepared for a blizzard, rapper Tyler The Creator arrived to the 60th Annual Grammy Awards awards in his best Louis Vuitton winter warmers.

Hailee Steinfeld

While Jenny McCarthy went for colour on top, singer Hailee Steinfeld went for colour on the foot. Her spangly purple knee-high boots were made for walking this vibrant red carpet!

Andra Day

Recording artist Andra Day takes power-dressing to a whole new level in this bold fairy-floss pink and red tuxedo gown.

Cardi B

American rapper Cardi B is a walking sculpture in this head-turning ensemble. We want to know how she’ll sit down in this construction?

Kali Uchis

Is it something from the future, or a retro throw back? Artist Kali Uchis stepped onto the red carpet in a metallic and fuchsia jumpsuit from an era unknown.

Heidi Klum

Supermodel Heidi Klum channels her Victoria’s Secret past in an ensemble fit for an VS angel.
