Just when we thought the Sex And The City reboot, And Just Like That couldn’t get any better, we’ve been graced with some glorious news: Samantha Jones will return.

Cue the celebratory dancing in our closets.

But the ultimate girl squad will only be reunited for one night, well actually one scene. And if we are honest, the girls aren’t even back together in person.

Variety understands Samantha, played by Kim Cattrall has reprised her iconic role in the season two finale of the series.

But the star will only appear in one scene after sources revealed she shot her dialogue on March 22 in New York City.

In the scene, fans should expected to see Samantha, who has moved to London, having a conversation with Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, over the phone.

It’s not Sex And The City without Samantha.

And Just Like That fans should know that in the first season we saw Carrie and Samantha communicate via text messages and the two planned to see each other soon and reconcile their friendship.

Reportedly, Samantha’s dialogue was all filmed without seeing or speaking with the stars of the series including Sarah and Michael Patrick King.

This adds fuel to the fire regarding the supposed feud between Kim and Sarah. Speculation that the pair were feuding began after Kim publicly said she was finished playing Samantha in 2016 due to the script for the potential third film not doing her character justice.

Speaking exclusively to TV WEEK in 2018, Jason Lewis who is best known for playing Samantha’s boyfriend Smith Jerrod touched on the topic.

“I don’t pay much attention to any of it,” he declares.

“One thing gets said, it gets turned into something much bigger and something it never was. I take media with a grain of salt.”

Season two of And Just Like That premiered on June 22, 2023. Upon the season’s trailer release, Sarah shared it to her personal Instagram with a touching message.

“And just like that, it’s been 25 years,” she wrote.

We miss them!

“It’s hard to put all of our feelings into words but, for now… We want to celebrate with YOU, our beloved audience and friends who have supported us and kept these characters company and alive for a quarter century.

“We hope you’ll join us at the #SATC25Experience in New York City June 8th through 11th. Reserve your spot using the link in stories. See you on the stoop. Or inside the closet.”
