Hold on to your newsboy caps, because Peaky Blinders just scored a cast shake-up ahead of the highly-anticipated fifth season.

Sam Claflin (The Hunger Games, Me Before You), and Brian Gleeson (Logan Lucky, Mother!) are joining the cast, along with previously announced Anya Taylor-Joy (Split, The Witch).

Sam Claflin and Brian Gleeson join the cast of Peaky Blinders.

Sam tells Deadline he feels ‘privileged’ to be joining the Peaky Blinders crew and is excited to work with creator Steven Knight.

“From Steven Knight’s writing to the consistently brilliant production, I couldn’t feel more privileged to be invited to join this iconic show,” he says.

The actor also took to Twitter to share a photo of the show’s signature cap, writing “By order of the…” in the caption.

Brian, who is the son of Irish actor Brendan Gleeson (Harry Potter, Into The Storm), and is the brother of actor Domhnall Gleeson (Goodbye Christopher Robin), says he is ‘looking forward’ to joining the series.

“Looking forward to kicking around in the mud of Northern England with an exceptional cast and crew,” he says. “The scripts are wild and pertinent — a classic Peaky brew.”

The recently announced stars aren’t the only ones joining the cast, also joining are Neil Maskell (Kill List, The Football Factory), Emmett J Scanlan (Hollyoaks, The Fall), Elliot Cowan (Ultimate Force), Charlene McKenna (Ripper Street), Andrew Koji (The Innocents), Kate Dickie (The Cry, The Witch), Cosmo Jarvis (Lady Macbeth), and Daryl McCormack (A Very English Scandal).

The new cast-members will be joining the original stars of the gangster drama series, including Cillian Murphy (Thomas Shelby), Helen McCrory (Aunt Polly) and Paul Anderson (Arthur Shelby).
