Black Mirror fans had cause for celebration when Netflix released a cryptic tweet confirming the series would be making a return with another season yesterday.

The streaming service sent out a tweet with the tagline: “Be Right Back.” which can be seen below, as well as confirming to The Verge it is renewing the show.

Confirmation of a fifth season comes only months after its fourth was released to much fanfare.

The six-episode fourth season explored surveillance, robotic dogs, dating apps and the actual Black Mirror universe.

However, the notoriously tight-lipped producers have given little away in regards to what the new season will entail or when it premieres.

The cult sci-fi series is known for its dark exploration of the impact technology has on our world and has received great feedback with a 92% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes as well as two Emmy Awards for its “San Junipero” episode in season three.

Whatever lay ahead for Black Mirror, we’re sure it will be as mind-bending as previous seasons.
