Amy Shark picked up the TV WEEK Logie Award for Most Popular New Talent last night! The singer-songwriter made a name for herself as a TV star thanks to Australian Idol.
The first time nominee was facing tough competition – up against Ayesha Madon, Chloe Hayden, Flex Mami, Kween Kong and Lilliana Bowrey. In the end it was Amy who rose abov,e after being recognised for her outstanding work on Channel Seven’s rebooted Australian Idol.
We couldn’t be happier for Amy!
(Credit: TV WEEK)Speaking with TV Week just moments after her thrilling win, Amy couldn’t keep the smile from her face as she reflected upon her status as a new Logie winner.
“It feels so incredible,” she exclaimed before adding, “I don’t really believe it just yet.”
“I think when I wake up tomorrow I’ll be like ‘Oh God, did that happen?.”’
When asked where she would be storing her new prized posession, Amy gave a surprisingly candid response.
“I feel like it should go next to the TV, I feel like that will look about right, where everyone will see it.”
The Tell Your Mum I Said Hi singer also took to her Instagram stories to share in her excitement writing: “OMG I’M A LOGIE WINNER.”
