Australian Survivor has always been a game with high stakes, but this season kicking off in 2022 is taking that concept to the next level.

Aptly dubbed Australian Survivor: Blood V Water, the contestants will play in pairs as siblings, in-laws, couples, parents, and children.

Yes, the castaways are playing against members of their own family, the people they are meant to trust the most in the world, but can they really?

The program has already released a few of their players attempting what may become a catastrophic journey, for there is no betrayal with a greater sting than one coming from someone you would go to any lengths to protect.

Australian Survivor: Blood V Water is coming soon on 10 and 10 Play On Demand.

Scroll down to discover the contestants diving headfirst into the unknown.

Former NRL Michael Crocker and his sister-in-law Chrissy Zaremba are entering the game as a duo.

For 13 years Michael was a rugby player, before he retired with the Rabbitohs in 2013. He’ll need to dust off his kicks to play this new game that’s set to be an all-new challenge.

Chrissy is the sister of Michael’s partner Kiri-Moana Proctor, who must prove herself in the outback.

In a teaser trailer dropped by Survivor the former rugby player says in the clip, “I love the strategy, and as soon as I go onto that battlefield I’ll be competing as hard as I can.”

The self-professed “super fan” also revealed that his bond with his sister-in-law is tighter than most, “The proper brother and sister relationship we have got someone we can absolutely trust with our lives.”

Chrissie shared a similar sentiment when she told the camera, “I have possibly got the strongest emotional anchor in this game has ever seen; there is no way I could be doing this without him.”

Hailed by many as the Queen of the Survivor, Sandra Diaz is joined by her daughter Nina Twine.

Sandra is a two-time champion of the American series and has competed four times since her debut in 2003 – so we can expect her to give the other castaways a good challenge.

As for her daughter Nina, well Sandra made it pretty clear in a recent trailer that she has full confidence in her.

“I have a secret weapon – my baby girl Nina. Ya’ll better look out, because I taught her well,” Sandra said in the short teaser.
