Married At First Sight Australia’s commitment ceremony left a lot to be desired about the relationships between series favourites Lyndall and Cameron and Claire and Jesse, but Woman’s Day’s on-set spies reveal there is one couple whose secret tensions may never play out!
While Alyssa and Duncan seem to be unscathed by dinner party drama and shock betrayals, one sleuth reveals the NSW regional director was hardly the committed heartthrob he appears to be on screen.
Its not always paradise for these two.
(Image: Supplied)Speaking to Woman’s Day under the promise of anonymity, an insider confesses that Duncan was seemingly caught up with his ex-girlfriend while he simultaneously attempted to schmooze Alyssa.
Sources confess that Alyssa, 35, and Duncan, 36, became embroiled in a heated spat behind the scenes after she caught him contacting his ex-girlfriend.
“It was a hard pill to swallow for Alyssa, especially considering she was falling in love with him,” shares the source.
Alyssa is furious.
(Image: Nine)“They really butt heads over it, and it made it difficult to remain invested in the experiment given he didn’t seem to think it was a problem.”
What’s more, the insider reveals Duncan even refused to remove images of his ex-girlfriend from social media, which those close to Alyssa describe as a “huge red flag” for the executive assistant.
“There was a lot of chatter about him seeming overly rehearsed… he seemed more interested in appeasing production than he did his own wife,” reveals a source of the handsome Sydneysider.
Something seems to be in the air this season, with fellow grooms Harrison, 32, and Shannon, 30, also being linked to their former partners.
On night one, Harrison was faced with shock allegations from wife Bronte, 28, after it was revealed he has been texting and “seeing” ex-Bachelor flame Abby Miller, which caused a showdown at their wedding.
Meanwhile, personal trainer Shannon was embroiled in a scandal just three weeks after confessing to wife Caitlin McConville, 27, that he was still with his former fiancee, who even visited the father-of-one during filming.
