While some fans have praised TV host Grant Denyer for being so candid on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, there’s someone in particular who is far from impressed – his wife Chezzi Denyer.

A source tells Woman’s Day that the 41-year-old mum-of-two, who’s just entered the third trimester of her third pregnancy, has been concerned watching Grant, 43, share his innermost feelings in front of the whole country every night, and even worries that his frankness may have affected his future job prospects.

“Chezzi has fears about his emotional state – but also about their future and the financial security of the family,” the insider reveals.

“She’s genuinely concerned that with baby number three arriving, she may be forced to go back into the workforce.”

From the minute the show premiered, Grant began breaking down consistently, touching on topics such as his scandalous affair with the then-married Chezzi while they both worked at Seven, how he used to try to offend former Sunrise colleague Melissa Doyle, to bizarrely admitting he had huge regrets over turning down a date with Baywatch star Pamela Anderson in 2006.

And while his anecdotes were great fodder for the campers – and resulted in stellar ratings for Ten – our spy says his willingness to air his dirty laundry on the show raised a few eyebrows, both in TV land and at home.

“He’s no longer got the currency or popularity in an ever-changing industry where the corridor gets narrower by the day,” says the insider.

“And it hasn’t helped that he didn’t stop dumping on everyone on I’m A Celeb – including having a shot at highly respected Mel Doyle. You can’t mention Grant’s name over at Sunrise – he’s not a popular fella, let’s just say.”

The source adds, “Chezzi always tries to patch things up for him, maintaining they’re a happy little family, but she’s hurting deep down.”

The couple, who share daughters Scout, five, and Sailor, nine, have been candid about their relationship in recent times, with the pair laying bare their financial problems and even admitting their podcast has caused problems within their family.

Taking to Instagram to promote an episode, Chezzi wrote, “We were all love and smiles before recording today’s It’s All True? podcast… We didn’t walk out that way.”
