Farmer Wants A Wife star Harry has been caught using someone else’s farm to film the show.

When viewers met Farmer Harry, he was touted as owning a farm in Gloucester, New South Wales. But it’s since been revealed the 23-year-old’s actual property is located more than 900km away in Kyabram, northern Victoria.

Channel Seven confirmed the farm Harry took his suitors back to wasn’t his real property, but assured viewers the show wasn’t deceiving his potential partners.

“Due to Covid, part of Harry’s Farmer Wants A Wife journey was filmed on a dairy farm near Gloucester,” a spokesman said.

“The location of the farm didn’t impact the series as Harry’s ladies were able to experience life on a dairy farm with Harry, including the early morning starts.”

The dating series made sure to never refer to the farm as being owned by Harry, with voiceovers instead simply announcing “Farmer Harry” when showing his scenes.

It’s unclear whether the contestants vying for Harry’s heart knew they were staying on a “stand in” property.

Farmer Wants A Wife has previously been accused of filming scenes in “fake” locations around Australia.

On the 2021 season, farmer Marr Trewin filmed several date scenes in his hometown of Orbost, country Victoria. But a viewer from the same town pointed out that they’d never seen the so-called “local date destinations”.

“I live in Orbost and I can tell you that the pub on tonight’s episode is definitely not the pub in Orbost,” the viewer wrote on Instagram after watching Matt have a date at a “local pub”.
