Going on a reality TV show pretty much promises a certain level of fame, even after the show finishes airing.

That’s especially true for the Bachelor franchise, which has made countless Aussies into social media stars after appearing in the Bachie mansion.

But a select few Bachelor and Bachelorette alumni have taken their fame a step further than anyone expected.

Matt J and Laura Byrne are one of the most famous couples to come out of the show.

From social media stardom, to podcasts, hosting gigs and side hustles, these former contestants – and a Bachelor or two – took things to the next level after their initial 15 minutes of fame.

A brave few even went on to do even more reality TV after their stint with the franchise.

So how have these former Bachelor stars taken their fame to new heights after the show? Keep reading to find out!

Anna Heinrich, season one

After coupling up with Tim Robards in the first season of The Bachelor, Anna became a mainstay in the social media world. She’s done countless partnerships with brands like Olay and Bras N Things, and is even launching her own beauty business, Intu Wellness, this year. Did we mention she’s also a lawyer – what can’t this woman do?

Tim Robards, season one

He’s probably most famous for being Anna’s husband these days (we’re kidding… kind of), but Tim’s fame shot to new heights after his stint on The Bachelor. He’s done some acting, created a fitness program called The Robards Method, written a book and even starred alongside his wife on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! in 2015.

Sam Frost, season two

After appearing on the second season of The Bachelor, then fronting her own season of The Bachelorette, Sam got a gig in radio on 2Day FM. She later returned to reality TV for Hell’s Kitchen and eventually transitioned into full-time acting work on Home And Away.

Sam Wood, season three

This fitness junkie became a household name after his run on the show when he created the hugely successful online training, nutrition and mindfulness platform 28 by Sam Wood. It’s now one of the country’s most popular home fitness and nutrition programs, so he’s doing pretty well for himself.

Snezana Wood, season three

Not only is she a popular influencer, Snezana teamed up with hubby Sam to promote 28 by Sam Wood and is a major player in his fitness empire, so we’re definitely counting her as part of his success.

Matthew Johnson, season five

Matty J is possibly one of the most famous faces to come out of The Bachelor, becoming a social media juggernaut, podcast host, presenter and even a Studio 10 stand-in! He even returned for a second reality TV run on Dancing With The Stars in 2021.

Laura Byrne, season five

Like husband Matty J, Laura is hugely popular on social media and found added fame through podcast Life Uncut that she hosts with fellow Bachelor alum Brittany Hockley. The mum-of-two also has a side-hustle jewellery business called Toni May that is hugely popular.

Brittany Hockley, season six

As mentioned before, Britt boosted her celeb status after appearing on Nick Cummins’ season of The Bachelor by joining Laura on the Life Uncut podcast. The show recently took out the Listener’s Choice Award at the Australian Podcast Awards, so it’s clear they’re popular!

Alisha Aitken-Radburn, season six

Just like Laura and Britt, Alisha found added fame through social media and later a podcast. She used her experience as a political staffer to inspire her show In The House And The Senate, which she hopes will inspire other young women to get into politics.

Abbie Chatfield, season seven

There’s no denying Abbie’s celebrity status! She’s done plenty of reality TV, podcasting and hosting gigs since leaving the Bachelor mansion, as well as brand partnerships on everything from swimwear to sex toys. Most recently the firecracker star signed on for a new radio show with Hit Network called Hot Nights With Abbie.

Irena Srbinovska, season eight

After winning Locky Gilbert’s heart on the show, Irena took a hiatus from her job as a nurse and spent a whirlwind year travelling Australia with her new man, setting her up as a pretty popular travel influencer. Despite her new fame, the 2020 Bachelor star hopes to return to her former career and a more “normal” life.

Georgia Love, season two (Bachelorette)

Originally a journalist from Tasmania, Georgia shot to fame on the show and landed herself a role with Channel 7, as well as launching a podcast and a pyjama label, Georgia Elliott Sleepwear. Unfortunately, a few stray comments led her closer to infamy and she later lost the Channel 7 gig.

Angie Kent, season four (Bachelorette)

Angie was a fan favourite on Gogglebox and only became more popular after appearing on The Bachelorette, going on to sign up for a bunch of other reality shows including Dancing With The Stars and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
