All of Australia’s in the know when it comes to romantically challenged Ali Oetjen’s everlasting search for love. And sadly, since starring in the 2013 season of The Bachelor, the South Australian beauty seems to have bounced from one heartbreaking rejection to the next!

Now it appears that after taking the helm from Sophie Monk as this year’s Bachelorette, and with 18 hunky suitors to choose from, the long-time singleton is still left searching for her happily-ever-after as the series comes to an end.

On-set rumours are rife that Ali is set to follow in The Bachelor‘s Nick “Honey Badger” Cummins’ footsteps and fails to find a forever love in the nail-biting finale!

Week after week, fans have witnessed suitors battle it out to charm the petite 32-year-old blonde, trying to woo her with their heartfelt intentions and dreams of a relationship lasting beyond the show.

Charlie Newling, 31, who’s been dubbed Mr Perfect, and Ken-doll lookalike Bill Goldsmith, also 31, were this year’s frontrunners to win Ali’s heart – but it seems things didn’t work out for them.

Since the show concluded, Sydney builder Charlie has been spotted on an intimate dinner date with 32-year-old Russian personal trainer Dasha Gaivoronski, who failed to win the Honey Badger’s affections in the latest Bachelor series.

“Charlie reached out to Dasha on Instagram as he’d watched her on The Bachelor, and things progressed,” a TV insider says. “They both love fitness and the outdoors, and they have boys of a similar age, so they hit it off right away!”

And it appears Charlie’s not the only hunk to have been caught out dipping his toe back in the dating pool all but five minutes after vying for Ali’s affections. Bill has also been seen getting flirty with a mystery brunette on a dog walking date.

So it seems Ali’s instincts could have been right! The Bachelorette began to question her suitors’ intentions towards the end of filming and wondered whether she really had found her Prince Charming.

“Ali really wants to find Mr Right,” reveals a friend. “She was left shattered to find her two favourites were not the guys she thought they were, and she wasn’t going to be pressured by production to pick the wrong man, like she did in Paradise.

“Since photos have surfaced of the boys moving on so quickly, Ali knows she made the right decision.”

The former real estate agent has fuelled rumours she leaves her final two suitors rose-less, saying, “It’s all in my control. If I didn’t have feelings for them or if I didn’t fall in love, I wouldn’t pick someone for the sake of it.”

Now it’s believed Ali has left the show still single – and she says The Bachelorette is likely to be her last on-screen foray in her search for love. We’ll see!
