While Zane is reflecting on his past, Eden‘s ill health is putting her future in danger. In upcoming episodes of Home and Away, they’ll both grapple with how to move forward.
Newcomer Zane (Angus McColl) is trying to find a way forward but is haunted by his past mistakes. This week, he takes the brave step in contacting the victim he hurt all those years ago. But not everyone is sure he’s doing the right thing…

Alf (Ray Meagher) is heading off on a trip to Merimbula for Martha’s birthday, but he worries about leaving Marilyn (Emily Symons) alone with Zane (Angus McColl). Despite being pen pals for more than a year, there’s still much they don’t know about the former inmate.
Zane, however, is determined to do good. He wants to make up for his past wrongs but doesn’t know where to start.
Marilyn suggests he write a letter to Heidi, the young woman who was unintentionally hurt during the robbery Zane was part of as a teenager.

At 17, Zane turned to theft to survive his troubled upbringing but, one night, he became spooked and swung a bat to protect himself – accidentally striking a young girl. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Zane agrees to write the letter to Heidi. Although Marilyn is proud of him, Leah (Ada Nicodemou) is not. Venting to husband Justin (James Stewart), she explains how she would feel if Theo’s killer tried to make contact.
Is she right?
Theo became the accidental victim of an attack last year after pushing girlfriend Lacey (Sophea Pennington) out of the path of an oncoming car. The killer had ties to her mother’s death, and they were about to expose him. Sadly, Theo lost his life.
Also This Week…
Elsewhere, Eden (Stephanie Panozzo) is desperate to come home after her long stint in hospital. Since Eden was diagnosed with aplastic anaemia, a condition in which bone marrow stops producing new blood cells, the Fowler siblings have been being tested to see if any of them are a match for a stem cell transplant.

But Eden doesn’t want anyone to fuss, especially Levi (Tristan Gorey), who still requires hand surgery after his fall from the cliff.
“Initially Eden doesn’t want Levi to risk postponing his surgery, which would then postpone his return to work and could potentially affect the long-term functionality of his hand and his ability to be a surgeon,” Stephanie says.
“She doesn’t want him to sacrifice the life he has built for a 25 per cent chance of saving her.”
As they wait for the medical answers, Eden makes a request: can she go home from hospital?
Amelia (Nicole Da Silva) asserts that the risk of infection is significantly higher if she leaves and Eden will have to isolate herself from family and friends… but the doctor will allow it.

Back home, reality hits hard and husband Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) can tell how much Eden is struggling. So he arranges a distanced family picnic. It seems he needs it too.
“It’s really hard for Eden to be separated from everyone she loves and the healing nature of the outside world,” Stephanie says. “And Cash doesn’t know how to cope with the diagnosis either.”
The day is full of cheer and reminiscing. But, in a moment alone, Eden asks Levi for the truth: can she survive this?
Please hang in there, Eden!
