Everyone was a winner at this year’s Block auction

There were tears yet again for Blockheads Darren and Deanne Jolly at The Block: Triple Threat auction, but this time it was tears of joy after they WON an incredible $935,000 in prize money.

After winning just $10,000 on last year’s The Block Glasshouse, the couple decided to take on the gruelling renovating show once again in the hopes of winning a life-changing amount – and they’ve far surpassed that. The newly-crowned winners of The Block 2015, who’ve faced so much adversity, couldn’t be happier!

Dee and Darren had a reserve at $1,455,000 and sold the stunning home for $2,290,000. “I’m speechless for the first time ever.” Dee exclaimed after winning a total of $935,000 ($835,000 profit from the auction).

Tim and Anastasia were overwhelmed about their achievement.

And they’re not the only team celebrating tonight. Josh and Charlotte, Tim and Anastasia and Jess and Ayden all walked away with a whopping profit on their apartments.

The polarising Tim and Anastasia, managed to overcome a season of adversity and smash their reserve of $1,420,000 selling for $2,175,000 to win a hefty $755,000

Ayden and Jess were moved to tears over their killer result.

Fan favourite’s Ayden and his Mrs, Jess came into the competition with the hope to “create rooms with a high standard of finish,” and boy did their final auction price reflect that! The young parents couldn’t contain their joy, “you’ve absolutely just changed our lives”, after they soared past their reserve at $1,335,000 and sold their home for $2,000,000. making an amazing $665,000.

Josh and Charlotte were overjoyed at the result.

Sweethearts, Josh and Charlotte were astounded at their amazing feat. With a reserve at $1,390,000 the couple who’ve been dating for five years, sold the place for $2,200,000. “We’re the luckiest people in the world,” Josh and Charlotte made $810,000.

The incredible fortune makes this the biggest cash prize in TV history. A HUGE congratulations to all the Blockheads, what a rippa of an auction day!
