Whether your ham is from the supermarket or the best butcher in town The Weekly have you and the glaze of the day covered.

All five of these delicious glazes can be made up to one week ahead (just store in the refrigerator).

When buying your ham, try to purchase local produce as it supports Aussie farmers, is great quality, has travelled less distance, and have higher welfare standards than most countries.

Ham on the bone is guaranteed to be 100 per cent Australian.

If buying a ham without the bone, look for the pink PorkMark or the words “Product of Australia”.

TIP: Check that you can fit the ham in the oven before baking. If it doesn’t fit, you can ask the butcher to trim off the shank end, or cook the ham in a covered barbecue using indirect heat, following manufacturer’s instructions.
