Khloe Kardashian’s divorce payday

While Khloe Kardashian steadies herself for her upcoming divorce from Lamar Odom, the world is wondering just how much money the reality star will walk away with.

Despite signing a pre-nup in 2009, when the couple tied the knot after one month together, the buxom reality star looks set to gain a few extras to make up for her heartache.

The ex-NBA player, who is reportedly worth over $US100m, waived any rights to Khloe’s fortune and is leaving her their $4m California home and her giant $US1m engagement rock.

While Khloe’s current fortune stands at $US18m, a figure which pales in significance to Lamar’s wealth, the youngest Kardashian’s future earning capacity easily trumps that of the ex-Lakers star.

But Lamar isn’t interested in squabbling over money.

Instead, he’s choosing to make the spilt as painless as possible by leaving Khloe with all the jewellery and other gifts he has given her over the years – along with a few bonuses.

“Khloe will be entitled to $US500,000 for each year married to Lamar and she could petition for spousal support,” a source told Radar.

“However, she would only be entitled to spousal support from Lamar for half the length of their marriage, which would be less than two years.”

In a strange twist, the sassy Kardashian will remain as the beneficiary on Lamar’s $US10m life insurance policy for life.

But rumours of a cheating clause in the pre-nup have been dismissed, with a source confirming this “just does not exist.”

The basketball star has been making headlines for months over his alleged drug addiction, DUI charges and partying and cheating ways.

While Khloe has been pleading with Lamar to get help, she apparently can no longer stand by and watch her husband destroy their marriage and filed for divorce on December 13.

The 29-year-old star spoke out publicly for the first time last month about her failing marriage to Lamar, telling her brother Rob on Keeping Up With The Kardashians about her battle to remain supportive.

“I’m at war with myself. I want to help him, but sometimes the best help is stepping away,” Khloe said.
