Prince Harry put on his game face to perform the Haka with some New Zealand soldiers, but sorry, ladies, he didn't strip down to the fringed underwear to do it.

It’s no secret that Prince Harry has been winning over the locals in New Zealand.

In contrast to Prince William and Duchess Kate’s polite hand-shaking and tree-planting, the red-headed royal has thrown himself head on into his duties. From rowing boats, to rugby matches with schoolkids, Prince Harry has never said no to an invitation to dance or play.

And, when it came to New Zealand’s famous ‘haka’ dance, he didn’t disappoint.

On Wednesday, the royal lined himself up with the rest of the New Zealander troops, and after just 20 minutes of practice, gave the war dance his best shot.

And he did pretty well.

Although his facial expressions fell on the ‘concentrated’ side, instead of the ‘terrifying’ side, the Prince held his own. He remembered the choreography, and gamely chanted along.

The Prince came out of it sweating and red-faced, but obviously pleased.

“He was keen, that was the main thing,” one of the officers said, “Yeah, he was sweating, we were sweating, a bit of frustration set in.”

“Given the time restraints in trying to teach him, it was a bit difficult trying to learn the actions and the words, so I think he did really well,” said his instructor.

So do we!
