A member of the Queen’s Guard was left red-faced when he slipped and fell in front of hundreds of tourists outside Buckingham Palace yesterday.

The soldier was marching through the palace gates as part of the famous Changing of the Guard ceremony when his feet slipped out from under him, leaving him flat on his bottom.

As the crowd gasped, the solider leapt to his feet and continued his march as though nothing had happened. What a true professional!
