Charlene, Princess of Monaco has shared a sweet insight into an exciting milestone for her daughter Princess Gabriella.

On Tuesday night, the seven-year-old attended her first official royal engagement – accompanying her mother to an event at Monte-Carlo Fashion Week.

To mark the momentous occasion, Charlene shared a photo of herself and Gabriella embracing while donning stunning frocks.

Charlene wore a sparkling off-white frock with sheer billowing sleeves, while Gabriella opted for a floral jacquard dress with asymmetric sleeve details.

The South African born royal, who shares Gabriella with her husband Prince Albert of Monaco, captioned her photo: “I loved every moment preparing my Princess for her first official event. We’re looking forward to a great evening at the fashion awards. ❤️”

Gabriella has attended several events with her parents before, however Tuesday night’s the MCFW Fashion Awards Ceremony is the first time she has accompanied her mother to Monte-Carlo Fashion Week.

Gabriella’s first solo outing with her mother comes after Prince Albert revealed his daughter and her twin brother, Prince Jacques, will slowly be introduced to public service.

“Our parents took us on official trips early, but we didn’t feel they were official trips. When we were young, they would go off and do some sort of serious thing. Then they would be with us in the off-time. There was a lot of value to that,” Albert told People.

“Jacques and Gabriella are still at the age when there’s an awful lot of discovery, right and left, on these kinds of trips. It’s fabulous to have these kinds of memories with them.”

“Obviously at that age, six or seven, you can’t take them everywhere because they’ll get bored if it’s too official. You have to bring them in slowly into public appearances and different ceremonies.”

Charlene returned to Monaco in March following a four-month stay in clinic in Switzerland, where she was treated for emotional and physical exhaustion.

Over the past couple of months, the mother-of-two has slowly returned to her usual royal duties, most recently attending a rugby match and the Monaco E-Prix race.
