The Princess of Wales has revealed the adorable yet heartbreaking question Prince Louis keeps asking about his late great-grandmother, the Queen.
Kate Middleton made the revelation while speaking to Australia’s Governor-General David Hurley at Buckingham Palace over the weekend.
The mother-of-three spoke to Hurley about how her and Prince William’s kids, Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, seven, and Prince Louis, four, were coping the Queen’s death.
Kate revealed Prince Louis asked if their visits to Balmoral will be the same.
(Image: Getty)Hurley said Prince Louis has been asking about whether the family’s visits to the Queen’s beloved Balmoral Castle in Scotland will still be the same now that his great-grandmother has passed.
“The younger one is now asking questions like, ‘do you think we can still play these games when we go to Balmoral and things like that, cause she’s not going to be there?'” he revealed after speaking with Kate.
He also said Kate shed light on how Prince George, who is second in line to the throne, is handling the death of his beloved great-grandmother, who he affectionately called “gan gan”.
Hurley said Prince George was “sort of now realising how important his great-grandmother was and what is going on”.
The Queen died at Balmoral Castle, her country residence in the Scottish Highlands, on September 8 at the age of 96.
Just weeks earlier, William, Kate and and their children spent time with the Queen at Balmoral for their annual summer break.
Last week while visiting tributes left at Windsor Castle, Kate told a well-wisher what Prince Louis’ first words were upon hearing the news the Queen had died.

(Image: Getty)“Louis said at least Grannie is with great grandpa now,” Kate said, with the onlooker adding that the princess was “welling up” as she spoke.
In the wake of the Queen’s death, Prince William spoke fondly about the impact the late monarch has on the lives of Kate and their children.
“My wife has had twenty years of her guidance and support. My three children have got to spend holidays with her and create memories that will last their whole lives,” he said in a statement.
