This week, royal fans were overjoyed to hear news that Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan will reportedly return to the UK this year.

The pair, who have been living on the West Coast of the US since March last year, have largely kept out of the public eye as they worked on their own private projects.

But with almost a whole year passing since they last saw Harry’s immediate family members in England, it looks like they’ll be making a grand return – and that includes going back to one of their iconic haunts.

According to a report from The Sunday Times, Prince Harry and Duchess Megan are aiming to return to the UK in time for the British summer around June.

And during their stay in the UK, it’s likely they’ll return to their original residence, and their baby Archie’s first home – Frogmore Cottage.

Indeed the Duke and Duchess have remained owners of the renovated property, which sits on the prestigious Windsor Estate just outside of London.

They last properly lived in the residence back in 2019, just before they left for Canada to spend the Christmas holidays in December.

Little did they (or we!) know that it would mark the final time the pair would reside in the cottage for an extended period of time.

Shortly after the New Year, the couple announced they would step back from their roles and split their time between the UK and North America.

The Duke and Duchess will have been away from the UK for more than a year by the time they return.

Of course, Frogmore Cottage is no shoddy place to stay – consisting multiple bedrooms and recently fitted out in a $7 million rennovation, undertaken by Harry and Meghan shortly before they welcomed baby Archie in 2019, the pair will no doubt enjoy being back in their UK home.

Late last year, it was reported that Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, who are expecting their first child in the coming months, had temporary moved into the property.

Not long after, the home was reported to be vacant once again with Eugenie and Jack reportedly moving into Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s Royal Lodge residence in Windsor.

Harry and Meghan are hoping to attend Trooping The Colour in June.

Harry and Meghan’s return to the UK is set to coincide with the Queen’s birthday celebrations – Trooping the Colour.

The annual event involves a parade of horses, carriages and soldiers marching before Buckingham Palace.

Of course, owing to COVID-19 restrictions plans for both Harry, Meghan and the event this year are subject to change.

But fingers crossed it does go ahead – a Frogmore return and a royal family reunion is just the regal spectacle we’ve been waiting for.
